GYM CAGE
An exercise apparatus has an arrangement of strategically placed attachment points on a wall structure, floor and ceiling that enables easy attachment and detachment of a variety of resistance devices (e.g., a handheld and/or inline cable operated resistance creation device, or a stretch band resistance device) to any of the vertical and/or horizontal structures, thereby providing a nearly 360 degree dimensional point of resistance to perform a wide variety of exercises for different muscle groups and subgroups of the body. In one embodiment, an adjustable resistance creation device includes a cable that winds onto a cable spool and the adjustable resistance creation device providing a constant force of resistance throughout the performance of an exercise movement as the cable is pulled and unwinds from the spool. The adjustable resistance creation device may be incorporated within a gym grip or, alternatively, attached to an exercise machine.
Exercise machine inclination device
An exercise machine inclination device for providing variable exercise intensity on an exercise machine by inclining the exercise machine. The exercise machine inclination device generally includes a base adapted for being positioned upon a floor, a support structure adapted for supporting an exercise machine, a hinge pivotally connecting the base and the support structure and an actuator connected between the base and the support structure, wherein the actuator adjusts an angle of the support structure.
Exercise device
An exercise device that includes a frame, a user interface; a connection cable and a plurality of components that provide resistance to the cable and user interface. These components include a programmable, driven carriage capable of vertical movement between first and second positions and including one or more pulleys mounted thereon, wherein the cable extending away from the first end and user interface passes around the one or more pulleys on the carriage, a slider mechanism moveable between first and second positions and including one or more pulleys mounted thereon, and a pneumatic resistance device that is secured to the frame and that is operatively associated with the slider mechanism to provide resistance to slider mechanism movement between the first and second positions.
GAIT TRAINING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING OR LIMITING INJURIES
An apparatus and method for gait training is disclosed. The apparatus includes a support structure having a base and at least one moveable platform connected to the base of the support structure, the at least one moveable platform having a top surface and a bottom surface. The apparatus further includes a drive system configured to control the movement of the at least one moveable platform. The drive system includes an actuator secured to the at least one moveable platform. A set of rollers is secured to the base and in contact with the at least one moveable platform. The set of rollers is configured to restrict movement of the at least one moveable platform to a one-dimensional axis. The apparatus further includes a first sensor located above the support structure. The first sensor is configured to determine an amount of downward pressure exerted on the training apparatus by a user. A second sensor is located above the support structure which is configured to determine the position of the user on the at least one moveable platform. The apparatus also includes a control system having a programmable logic controller (PLC). The PLC is configured to control the drive system and to receive data from the first and second sensors. In response to data received from the first and second sensors, the actuator changes the movement of the moveable platform.
EXERCISE MACHINE ENHANCEMENTS
An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a tension generating device. The exercise machine comprises a translatable arm mount coupled to the tension generating device. The exercise machine comprises an arm coupled to the translatable arm mount. The exercise machine comprises a cable coupled to the tension generating device via the arm.
Piston configurations for pneumatic pogo stick
A pneumatic pogo stick is provided that utilizes compressed air like a spring to have a potentially higher power to weight ratio than a comparable coil spring pogo stick. The pneumatic pogo stick includes an elongate cylindrical housing which forms a cylinder. Improvements are also provided to the piston and air shaft that allow for reduced hammering and a lower maximum compression ratio in order to provide relatively smooth jumping and landing while propelling a user to greater heights. Examples of such improvements include a hollow air shaft and modifications to the shape and structure of the piston.
Tennis training device
A tennis training device is provided, comprising a support bar which is swivelable between a first and a second stop in its longitudinal direction, wherein at the free end of the support bar a ball is mounted by means of a connecting ember, which is releasably fixed by means of a fixing means. Furthermore, the invention relates to different embodiments of a training unit.
Programmable, gravity based, variable force/weight system
A plurality of belt/pullet sets. Each belt/pulley set has a weight set. Each weight set is based on a formula of (2)n-power(X) where X is a basic weight and n is integral number for selecting a weight by a user. Each weight uses a different n-power. A carrier plate is utilized for bearing a weight set during a movement of an exercise. A clamping mechanism is utilized to couple each belt/pulley set to the carrier plate. In addition, the weight system includes an exercise device for a user to exercise, such as a bar or handle. A cable is coupled to the carrier plate, weight set, and the exercise device. In another embodiment, the formula may be utilized in a variable distance system or robotic arm where a plurality of cylinders moves an object, such as a travel arm.
Multi-axis adjustable exercise machine
A multi-axis adjustable exercise machine which is pivotable about both a pitch axis and a roll axis with respect to a base for allowing an exerciser to perform a wide range of exercises on a pitched or rolled exercise machine. The multi-axis adjustable exercise machine generally includes an exercise machine which is adjustable with respect to a base. The exercise machine may be pivoted about a roll axis to adjust the roll angle of the exercise machine or may be pivoted about a pitch axis to adjust the pitch angle of the exercise machine. One or more actuators may be connected between the base and the exercise machine to effectuate the pivoting of the exercise machine about either or both axes with respect to the base.
Modifications for pneumatic pogo sticks
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to pneumatic pogo sticks having features that allow for the jumping and/or landing characteristics of the pogo stick to be varied. These characteristics may even be modified by a user during use. For example, the housing of the pogo stick may have multiple air chambers and air may be selectively transferred between the multiple air chambers. The transfer of air may change the volume, air pressure, compression ratio, and spring-characteristics of the one or more air chambers in which air is compressed during the compression stroke of the pogo stick. These changes will affect the jumping and/or landing characteristics of the pogo stick and in some cases may allow the user to obtain a greater jump height. At the same time, these features may also allow the pogo stick to be collapsed so that it can be easily stored, packaged, and transported.
