Exercise Bike
An exercise bike includes a frame, a rotor assembly and a drive assembly mounted on the frame, where the drive assembly is configured to drive rotation of the rotor assembly, and a cover configured to at least partially cover the rotor assembly. The components of the drive assembly and the rotor assembly include structures that improve the performance of the exercise bike, including but not limited to a strong and rigid construction and improvements in belt tracking, user feel, effort consistency, synchronization, and rotor performance.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING RUNAWAY RESISTANCE ON AN EXERCISE DEVICE
A treadmill may include a deck, a first pulley incorporated into the deck, a second pulley incorporated into the deck, a tread belt surrounding the first pulley and the second pulley, a motor in mechanical communication with at least one of the first pulley and the second pulley to move the tread belt in a first direction, and a runaway mitigation mechanism in at least indirect mechanical communication with the motor. The runaway mitigation mechanism at least mitigates a motor runaway condition.
Rowing machine
A rowing machine comprising: a main body portion extending along a longitudinal axis from a first end of the rowing machine to a second end of the rowing machine; a seat portion; a handle portion; the seat portion and handle portion configured to enable a user to simulate a rowing motion during use of the rowing machine; wherein the rowing machine comprises at least one mechanism configured for transferring a pitching motion to a user relative to said longitudinal axis, during use of the rowing machine.
Arm extension exercise apparatus
Apparatus for performing an arm extension exercise comprising: a frame, a seat having a seating surface (S), an elbow pad having an engaging surface (ES), an input arm assembly interconnected to a resistance mechanism and a manually graspable mechanism, the input arm assembly being adapted to reside in a start motionless position (SMP) that disposes the manually graspable mechanism in a start exercise position (SEP) that is disposed vertically above UW) the user's elbows, the input arm assembly being pivotable around a linear axis disposed rearwardly of the user's elbow.
Stowable rowing machine
A stowable rowing machine is provided. The stowable rowing machine may include a frame, a seat rail selectively movable relative to the frame between storage and use configurations, and an adjustment assembly movably coupling the seat rail to the frame and operable to releasably secure the seat rail to the frame. The adjustment assembly may include a plurality of securing elements configured to selectively engage the seat rail to secure the seat rail in position. The adjustment assembly may include a plurality of guide elements configured to selectively engage the seat rail, the plurality of guide elements including at least one disengagement guide element. When the seat rail is engaged with the disengagement guide element(s), the seat rail may be disengaged from the securing elements.
Cooling systems and methods for exercise equipment
An exercise machine may include a deck, a motor housing incorporated into the deck, a lift motor located in the motor housing, and a cooling mechanism that cools the lift motor when the cooling mechanism is activated. An airflow pathway may be defined to direct air from the cooling mechanism to a location above the motor housing and on to a user of the exercise machine. The exercise machine may be configured such that upon beginning operation of the machine, substantially all of the airflow exhausts to the location above the motor housing. A mechanism may be provided to selectively alter a characteristic of the airflow after the exercise machine has begun operation.
PEDAL ASSEMBLY FOR EXERCISE MACHINE
A stationary exercise machine according to the present disclosure may include a frame, a crankshaft rotatably supported by the frame, first and second lower linkages, and first and second crank arms connected to opposite sides of the crankshaft such that rotation of either of the crank arms causes rotation of the crankshaft. The lower linkages may be operatively connected to the crankshaft and to a respective one of first and second pedals. Each of the lower linkages may include a reciprocating member operatively connecting one of the pedals with one of the crank arms. Each of the lower linkages may include an adjustable linkage connected between the reciprocating member and the respective crank arm, the adjustable linkage may vary a distance between an output end of the reciprocating member and an input end of the crank arm. Each of the pedals may be pivotally connected to the respective reciprocating members.
RESPIRATORY DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR EXERCISING AND ANALYSING RESPIRATION OF A SUBJECT
The present disclosure relates to a respiratory system for exercising and analysing respiration of a subject comprising: a breathing unit comprising: a mouthpiece connected to: at least one inhalation air way, at least one exhalation air way, and an electronic sensor unit comprising at least one pressure gauge for measuring air pressure in the mouthpiece, and a processing unit for collecting/storing and/or transmitting air pressure data.
Resistance exercise device
A resistance exercise device includes: an elongated handle having first and second handle ends; an elongated element having first and second ends defining a longitudinal axis, at least part of the elongated element being flexible; a coupling connecting the elongated element near the first end to the elongated handle near the first handle end; and resistance fins attached to the elongated element, disposed around and along part of the elongated element, and oriented outwardly from the longitudinal axis, the elongated element and attached resistance fins being at least generally symmetrical along the longitudinal axis, whereby when whirled, the elongated element and the attached resistance fins prevent rotation about the longitudinal axis and produce a substantially continuous resistance exercise. A method of exercising includes: providing the resistance exercise device; holding the elongated handle by a user; and whirling the elongated element and attached fins about the elongated handle.
INCENTIVE SPIROMETER FOR SUSTAINED MAXIMAL INSPIRATION
An incentive spirometer is disclosed having a helical tube, wherein the helical tube includes a first inlet, second outlet, third outlet, and fourth outlet. The spirometer further includes a chamber, wherein the chamber is in fluid communication with the first inlet, second outlet, third outlet, and fourth outlet of the helical tube; and an object disposed within the spirometer, wherein the object is adapted to move through the first inlet of the helical tube and through either the second outlet, third outlet, or fourth outlet.
