Exercise apparatuses that may be particularly useful or treating and strengthening connective tissue. For example, apparatuses that may have or be reconfigured to have multiple (e.g., three or more) configurations that are suspended from above by a ceiling or stand. The equipment facilitates the stabilization of the body according to the principle of tensegrity, so that the tension in all movements is omni-directionally coherent, thus creating omni-tensional integrity, which may be helpful in treatment and strengthening of muscular connective tissue (fasciae) in musculoskeletal dynamics, to restore, rebuild, strengthen and regain elasticity within the human fascial network. These apparatuses can support the user at an oblique body angle while the user performs various movements.

Combined climber and rowing exercise machine

An exercise machine has a base supporting a boom. The boom has an elongate rigid body that is attached at a proximal end via a pivot mount to the base such that the boom is able to pivot about an axis with respect to the base between a rowing configuration wherein the boom is horizontal, and a climbing configuration wherein the boom extends upwardly. A seat element is slidably mounted above the boom when the boom is in the rowing configuration. A row handle is attached to a row transmission system that includes a row cable that extends to a row resistance device. The boom has a pair of climb handles and a pair of climb pedals, each slidably mounted on the boom, for performing climbing exercises. A climber transmission system connects the climb handles and climb pedals to a climber resistance device.

TRAINING APPARATUS WITH PROGRESS INDICATOR AND UNIFIED BASE FOR DIFFERENT APPARATUS TYPES
20240226651 · 2024-07-11 ·

A training apparatus having a progress indicator and unified base for different apparatus types, such as for an ergometer, speed bike, recumbent bike, home training bike, rowing apparatus, elliptical trainer, cross-trainer or treadmill. The fitness apparatus of every apparatus type is based on a structure which is unified in terms of technical design, according to which the frame or pedestal of the fitness apparatus has rollers which are arranged on the frame or pedestal such that a tilt-stable positioning of the frame with respect to the subsurface and a longitudinal displacement of the frame or of the frame together with the pedestal relative to the subsurface is enabled by means of an actuator depending on the measure of success of the user training.

EXERCISE MACHINE HAVING NON-MATCHED CABLE PAIRING
20190076691 · 2019-03-14 ·

An exercise machine having non-matched cable pairing is provided. The exercise machine may include a frame, a resistance element, at least a first plurality of corresponding engagement points and a second plurality of corresponding engagement points operatively associated with the frame, and first and second elongated flexible members routed through a pulley system. The first flexible member may be operably associated with the resistance element and may include opposing cable portions associated with and extending between one of the first plurality of corresponding engagement points and another engagement point not in the first plurality of corresponding engagement points. The second flexible member may be operably associated with the resistance element and may include opposing cable portions associated with and extending between another of the first plurality of corresponding engagement points and another engagement point not in the first plurality of corresponding engagement points.

Stationary exercise machine with a power measurement apparatus
10226657 · 2019-03-12 · ·

A stationary exercise machine in accordance with some examples herein may include a frame, a crankshaft rotatably supported by the frame, an upper moment-producing mechanism and a lower moment-producing mechanism both operatively engaged to the crankshaft to cause the crankshaft to rotate. The lower moment-producing mechanism and the upper moment-producing mechanism may be resiliently coupled to one another, such as via a resilient coupling between a crank arm of the lower moment-producing mechanism and a link or virtual crank arm or the upper moment-producing mechanism. The exercise machine may further include a measurement apparatus which may be configured to measure differential forces between the upper and lower mechanisms.

EXERCISE APPARATUS

Exercise apparatus (10) has two wheels (12, 12) rotatably mounted to a base 14, 14, spaced apart and each located within a housing (15, 15) respectively. Pivotably connected to the wheel is a cam (16). The other end of cam 16 is pivotably connected to a push rod (17) which is pivotably connected to a handle (18) which is rotatably mounted in a housing (20). Housing (20) is pivotably mounted to the arm (16) such that movement of the arm in a vertical plane up or down by operating on the handle causes an elliptical rotation of the arm relative to the wheel (12).

DEVICE FOR ACCLIMATISING AT ALTITUDE AND METHOD FOR FUNCTIONING THIS DEVICE
20190060707 · 2019-02-28 ·

A device for acclimatising at altitude comprising a breathing mask defining a confined air space when it is placed on the face of a user. The mask comprising a suction valve to let the surrounding air enter inside the confined space when breathing in; an expiration valve to let air exit with a determined resistance, so as to create an overpressurisation of air in the confined space, when breathing out; and a sensor to establish information about the pressure of the confined space behind. The acclimatisation device in addition comprises a unit for processing the pressure information configured to establish a breathing characteristic of the user and compare it to at least one target value, in view of recommending to them an adjustment of the breathing mode thereof. A method for functioning this device is also provided.

Exercise Ring for Improving Strength and Flexibility of a Body Part
20190060704 · 2019-02-28 ·

An apparatus and method may exercise muscles of a body part, especially the neck, waist, torso, legs, and glutes from any angle with variable resistance while taking up minimal floor space. The apparatus may improve the ability of athletes, including football players and wrestlers, to better prepare for contact from any angle while engaged in their sport. The apparatus may include a ring having a guide track therein. Another inner ring may also be provided in different sizes and shapes to accommodate a variety of users. A car may be connected to a source of resistance ride freely along the guide track. The source of resistance may be other gym equipment including a bungee cord, a cable cross over machine, springs, and the like. As the user freely exercises by moving the body part, the car may adapt to the user's position to facilitate a full range of motion.

REHABILITATION EXERCISE DEVICE

A sports training device attached to the shaft of a swinging sports apparatus, such as a baseball bat. The device includes a drag chute disposed between two rigid members, a support rod disposed between the two rigid members along the longitudinal axis of the chute, and a plurality of coupling elements connected to the support rod. Each coupling element includes an annular opening for positioning of the sports apparatus therethrough. One coupling element has a stationary component that secures the device to the sports apparatus and a rotating component that rotates 360 around the sports apparatus. As such, the entirety of the device, with exception to this stationary component, can substantially freely rotate 360 around the sports apparatus. Resistance during a swing can be adjusted by sliding the coupling mechanisms along the support rod to expose more or less of the chute.
