Transaction Processing Platform for Facilitating Electronic Distribution of Plural Prepaid Services

A transaction processing platform capable of facilitating the distribution to consumers of various types of prepaid products is disclosed. The transaction processing platform is configured to interface with one or more providers of such prepaid products in order to facilitate the procurement or activation of the products. The platform includes a conduit interface through which service request messages are received and respectively utilized to generate transaction requests for corresponding types of prepaid services. A supply interface arrangement, operatively coupled to the conduit interface, is configured to route a first of the transaction requests through a first supply interface associated with a first type of prepaid service. The supply interface arrangement also routes a second transaction request through a second supply interface associated with a second type of prepaid service. The platform is also configured to provide supplier response information received through the supply interfaces to the conduit interface.

METHOD, DEVICE, AND SYSTEM FOR SECURING AN ACCESS TO AT LEAST ONE SERVICE
20190239077 · 2019-08-01 · ·

In a method for securing access to a service, a device is set in a restricted operation mode that allows addressing only a first server and that is associated with a first identifier relating to a first connectivity gateway. The device accesses the first identifier and a subscription profile that is active during the restricted operation mode. The first server receives from the device a request for enrolling a device user and at least one feature relating to a user identity. The first server verifies whether the user identity feature is valid. If the user identity feature is valid, the first server sends to the device a command for deactivating the restricted operation mode. The device deactivates the restricted operation mode while storing, instead of the first identifier, a second identifier relating to a second connectivity gateway. The second identifier allows accessing a second server that manages the service.

A system for adding, authorizing, or activating pre-paid wireless service includes a sticker, and a server. The sticker has an authorization code. The sticker is configured to be affixed to a surface of a product. The server is configured to receive the authorization code. The server is further configured to verify that the received authorization code is authentic. The server is further configured to at least one of add, authorize, and activate wireless service in response to receiving and verifying the received authorization code.

Method and system for least cost routing (LCR) of international mobile telephone calls with an integrated money transfer facility

A method and system for least cost routing for mobile telephone calls between the United States and Mexico in such a way so that the call is separated into several call legs and the international portion or call leg is routed via a low-cost or no-cost route independently of the local call legs, essentially achieving an international call with local call rates. This uses a SIM card that automatically identifies any incoming or outgoing call and provides the ability to convert the call from an expensive international and/or roaming call to a local (free) call. Several slight variations are disclosed, and all embodiments have an integrated money transfer service that can be used with a very simple low-cost basic mobile phone using IVR, SMS and voice recognition, or can be accessed via the web or via a smartphone app.

eSIM profile reuse for eUICCs

A notification is received from a user device indicating that an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) profile is deleted from an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) of the user device, in which the eUICC has a particular eUICC identifier (ID). The profile state of the eSIM profile is transitioned from a state of in use to a state of suspended. A billing function is then notified that the eSIM profile is deleted from the eUICC of the user device and the suspended state of the eSIM profile. If the billing function determines that the eSIM profile is active for billing a subscriber for telecommunication services, the profile state of the eSIM profile is transitioned from suspended to released for reuse solely by the eUICC with the particular eUICC ID. However, if the billing function determines that the eSIM profile is inactive, the profile state of the eSIM profile is transitioned from suspended to available for use by any eUICC.

Communicating mobility events in an IMS network environment
10356601 · 2019-07-16 · ·

A system for communicating to an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network mobility events occurring in a telecommunications access network. A mobile device connects to a first base station and registers on an IMS network. A component in the IMS network, such as a telephone application server (TAS), stores the first identifier. In addition, the TAS creates or modifies a call detail record (CDR) to indicate that the mobile phone is connected to the base station. After a handover occurs from the first base station to a second base station, the mobile device transmits to the IMS network a second identifier that identifies the second base station. The mobile device transmits the identifier of the second base station to the TAS within the IMS network via an XCAP PUT or POST request. After receiving the second identifier, the TAS stores the identifier and modifies a CDR to reflect the identifier.

POS payment terminal and a method of direct debit payment transaction using a mobile communication device, such as a mobile phone

A POS payment terminal (1) using a mobile communication device (4), such as a mobile phone, is created over a temporary connection between the merchant's Sales Device (2) with the removable memory card (18), where the removable memory card (18) is inserted into the customer's slot of the mobile communication device (4). The Sales Device (2) contains a secure memory (6) with the POS terminal's identification data in the form of a SAM card or an ICC card (9) or directly in the form of a secure element on the circuit printed. The payment terminal (1) is created before or during the payment process over a temporary connection between a Sales Device (2) with a mobile communication device (4), which is held by the customer and which has a removable memory card that can have an independent communication element, especially of the NFC type. The payment cryptogram is of standard form, e.g. in the EMV format and it is sent online or offline in batches to the payment processing center (15) according to the amount paid and the preset risk management.

POLICING OF PACKET SWITCHED SERVICES

A method, computer program product, user equipment (UE) and packet data network gateway (P-GW) are provided for activating Data Off services using protocol configuration options (PCO). The UE sends a first indication to a first network node as part of the PCO. The first indication includes a Data Off indication indicating whether a Data Off service is activated. The first network node may be a P-GW. If the Data Off indication indicates that the Data Off service is deactivated, the UE receives downlink data from the first network node. If the Data Off indication indicates that the Data Off service is activated, the UE either receives no downlink data from the first network node or receives an error message from the first network node.
