Smartphone safety system for pedestrians
Systems and methods for providing real-time alerts to a user of a device in or near a potentially dangerous situation are disclosed. A computer-implemented method includes determining, by the mobile device, that a user is looking at the mobile device based on sensor data, determining, by the mobile device, an area of a likely accident event, and generating, by the mobile device, an alert based on the determining that the user is looking at the device and the determining the area of the likely accident event.
METHOD FOR DISASTER NOTIFICATION SERVICE NOT REQUIRING COLLECTING OF LOCATION INFORMATION, AND DISASTER NOTIFICATION SERVER AND APPLICATION SYSTEM THEREOF
A method for a disaster notification service not requiring collecting of location information, and systems thereof. The method includes the steps of: receiving, from at least one registration system, disaster information including a disaster location and disaster notification information; specifying, a set of location information, each including location information which corresponds to the disaster location of each of at least one item of disaster information; transmitting, the specified set of location information to a plurality of user terminals; if any one of the plurality of user terminals determines that the location of the user terminal is included in matching location information included in the set of location information, receiving, a content transmission request including identification information of the matching location information; and transmitting, content including the matching disaster notification information corresponding to the matching location information in response to reception of the content transmission request.
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND TERMINAL FOR PROCESSING NOTIFICATION INFORMATION
Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of terminal application technologies, and provide a method, an apparatus, and a terminal for processing notification information. Therefore, an efficient operation manner for processing notification information is provided, which can simplify operation steps and improve usability and controllability of a device. The method is: after a user display operation is detected, and a display instruction corresponding to the user display operation is triggered, determining a target application program corresponding to notification information; and when it is determined that a screen display status meets a condition, adjusting, according to a preset adjustment policy corresponding to the display instruction, a window corresponding to the target application program. The embodiments of the present invention are used to process notification information of an intelligent terminal device.
PORTABLE TERMINAL DEVICE, INCOMING CALL SCREEN DISPLAY METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Incoming call signal reception means receives an incoming call signal including a caller number, caller information, and ring type information. Image generation means generates, based on the incoming call signal, a caller information image including at least a portion of the caller information as character information. Telephone dictionary registering means registers the caller number, caller text information, and the caller information image in a telephone dictionary. Incoming call screen display means receives the caller number and acquires the registered caller text information and the caller information image corresponding to the received caller number from the telephone dictionary. Incoming call screen display means displays an incoming call screen including the caller text information and the caller information image.
System and method for digital assistant interface utilizing plain-old-telephone
A system and method for utilizing a plain-old-telephone (“POT”) to interface with a digital assistant system. The POT is linked to an interface adapted to selectively provide a bidirectional audio connection to a standard telephone communication network, or to provide an interface to a digital assistant system in response to user voice commands. The functionality of the POT digital assistant interface being dependent upon the user input—DTMF tone/pulse dialing signals as opposed to voice commands spoken into the POT mouthpiece. Audio cues and prompts, as well as audio responses from the digital assistant system are provided to the user via the POT earpiece. Digital assistant functionality is provided via a simple and familiar interface, without impeding any standard voice telephony functionality (making/receiving calls, call waiting, caller ID, etc.)
MOBILE TERMINAL AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal capable of providing path information, and a control method therefor. The mobile terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a camera; and a control unit for activating, if an event occurs, the camera, detecting whether the mobile terminal is in a vehicle-mounted state and whether the vehicle is traveling by using images received through the camera and, if it is determined, according to the detection result, that the vehicle is traveling in a state in which the mobile terminal is mounted on the vehicle, activating a gesture function of controlling the event by recognizing a gesture of a user.
QUIET HOURS FOR NOTIFICATIONS
In some implementations, a computing device can be configured to automatically tum off notifications when generating a notification would cause a disturbance or be unwanted by a user. The device can be configured with quiet hours during which notifications that would otherwise be generated by the computing device can be suppressed. In some implementations, quiet hours can be configured as a time period with a start time and an end time. In some implementations, quiet hours can be derived from application data. For example, calendar data, alarm clock data, map data, etc. can be used to determine when quiet hours should be enforced. In some implementations, the device can be configured with exceptions to quiet hour notification suppression. In some implementations, the user can identify contacts to which the quiet hours notification suppression should not be applied.
Cognitive scheduling of text message availability
A first message is received at a device at a first time. A textual content of the first message is analyzed to determine a language structure of the textual content. The first message is assigned a level based on a feature extracted from the language structure of the textual content. The level of the first message is adjusted to form an adjusted level according to a location-based factor based on a location of the device. The first message is scheduled on the device according to the adjusted level such that the first message becomes available for use on the device at a future time, the future time being after a delay after the first time.
Managing display of private information
In one example, a method includes receiving a first indication of an incoming communication and determining that the incoming communication includes private information. The method may also include outputting, for display at a wearable computing device, a second indication of the incoming communication, wherein the indication includes non-private information. The method may also include determining, based on motion data generated by the wearable computing device, that a user of the wearable computing device is likely viewing the wearable computing device. The method may also include outputting, for display at the wearable computing device, an indication of the private information.
