Devices, systems and methods for controlling permitted settings on a vehicle

Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for altering permitted settings of a vehicle according to a driver identified through short range wireless communication. The vehicle captures a unique identifier from a wireless communication device of the driver of the vehicle. This unique identifier is used to reference a database to determine the identity of the driver as well as settings for the driver created by a controlling authority. The controlling authority may be, for instance, a parent or employer of the driver. The settings may limit certain devices within the vehicle and/or the vehicle itself. Speed control settings, radio settings, wireless communication device settings, and various other settings are all possible to limit distractions to the driver. Further, the settings may be influenced by the number or identities of passengers within the vehicle.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EVALUATING CUSTOMER PREMISES NETWORKS

A tester system described herein enables a user (e.g., a field technician) to efficiently and conveniently upgrade, evaluate and troubleshoot customer premises networks and equipment. The tester system includes a dedicated tester device that is wirelessly coupled to a handheld device. In response to user input, the handheld device remotely controls the dedicated tester device to execute a testing routine to evaluate one or more customer premises wired and/or wireless networks.

AUDIO SIGNAL PROCESSING BASED ON REMOTE USER CONTROL

Example embodiments disclosed herein relate to audio signal processing based on remote user control. A method of processing an audio signal in an audio sender device is disclosed. The method includes receiving, at a current device, a control parameter from a remote device, the control parameter being generated based on a user input of the remote device and specifying a user preference for an audio signal to be transmitted to the remote device. The method also includes processing the audio signal based on the received control parameter and transmitting the processed audio signal to the remote device. Corresponding computer program product of processing an audio signal and corresponding device are also disclosed. Corresponding method in an audio receiver device and computer program product of processing an audio signal as well as corresponding device are also disclosed.

A synchronization method for call supplementary service configuration includes: receiving an entered supplementary service configuration instruction, and obtaining a configuration parameter corresponding to the supplementary service configuration instruction; uploading the configuration parameter to a mobile switching center by using a circuit switched domain, so that the mobile switching center stores the configuration parameter as call supplementary service configuration of the circuit switched domain into a home location register; receiving returned configuration feedback information; and determining, according to the configuration feedback information, whether configuration succeeds, and storing the configuration parameter as on-terminal call supplementary service configuration if the configuration succeeds.

Customer representative remote access for troubleshooting smartphones

A middleware device opens, based on an assistance call from a mobile device, a first leg of a websocket with a system associated with a call center customer representative, and sends a SMS text message to the mobile device that includes a first authentication token. The middleware device receives, while attempting to establish a second leg of the websocket between the first middleware device and the mobile device, a second authentication token from the mobile device, authenticates the mobile device based on the second authentication token, and opens the second leg of the websocket between the middleware device and the mobile device based on whether the authentication is successful. The middleware device receives a captured display screen from the mobile device via the second leg of the websocket, and sends the captured display screen to the system associated with the customer representative via the first leg of the websocket.

System For Real Time, Remote Access To And Adjustment Of Patient Hearing Aid With Patient In Normal Life Environment
20170201839 · 2017-07-13 ·

Real time, remote access to and adjustment of the hearing aid of a patient while the patient is located in a normal life environment that is remote from a hearing professional. A session request initiates a programming session. Adjustable settings from the patient's hearing aid are wirelessly streamed to the patient's mobile device and from the mobile device to a streaming cloud server. The settings are stored on the cloud, streamed from the cloud to a hearing professional's computer or mobile device and displayed. The hearing professional then changes at least one of the adjustable hearing aid settings and the changed settings are streamed to the cloud, stored on the cloud, streamed from the cloud to the patient's mobile device, wirelessly transmitted to the hearing aid and stored there. A telephonic voice connection between the hearing professional and the patient's mobile device is used to transmit the patient's evaluation of changed settings to the hearing professional.

System and method for telephone communication

The system and method of the present invention may allow a calling party to make a called party to be aware of its intention to establish a call session with it in one or more ways. According to the present invention a calling party may be automatically offered alternatives to voice session or may be allowed to change the silent mode of the called party to a non-silent mode or may be allowed to address a query to a third party via the called party or may be automatically offered to re-establish a connection with a called party if it was disconnected by the called party in error.
