AUTOMATED ASSISTANTS WITH CONFERENCE CAPABILITIES
Techniques are described related to enabling automated assistants to enter into a conference mode in which they can participate in meetings between multiple human participants and perform various functions described herein. In various implementations, an automated assistant implemented at least in part on conference computing device(s) may be set to a conference mode in which the automated assistant performs speech-to-text processing on multiple distinct spoken utterances, provided by multiple meeting participants, without requiring explicit invocation prior to each utterance. The automated assistant may perform semantic processing on first text generated from the speech-to-text processing of one or more of the spoken utterances, and generate, based on the semantic processing, data that is pertinent to the first text. The data may be output to the participants at conference computing device(s). The automated assistant may later determine that the meeting has concluded, and may be set to a non-conference mode.

System and method for graphically managing a communication session with a context based contact set
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for presenting a contact manager associated with a communication session represented in a graphical user interface (GUI). The method includes grouping by context contacts associated with a user in the communication session, wherein the communication session is displayed as a set of connected graphical elements representing a structure of the communication session, presenting on the GUI a graphical representation of at least a part of the grouped contacts, receiving user input associated with one contact of the contacts and the communication session, and modifying the communication session based on information associated with the user input and the one contact. Grouping the contacts by context can include sorting the contacts as a cache, and grouping based on user preferences, user communications history, social networks, topic, project, and/or employer.
Network conference management and arbitration via voice-capturing devices
Systems and methods are provided for managing a conference call with multiple voice-enabled and voice-capturing devices, such as smart speakers. Reproduced, duplicate voice commands can cause unexpected results in a conference call. The voice commands can be determined to be received from the same conference call. A voice command for a particular voice-enabled device can be selected based on an energy level of an audio signal, event data, time data, and/or user identification.
Communication System
Disclosed are systems, methods, and machine readable mediums which determine whether a computer participating in a network-based conversation deliberately left the network-based conversation. A time period is selected in response to the determination of whether the computer deliberately left the network conversation. After the time period has elapsed, removing a graphical indication of the computing device from a display of a second computing device still part of the network-based conversation.

Sound modification for close proximity shared communications path devices
Systems and methods are provided for attenuating a communications channel on one or more speakerphones which are located in close physical proximity to one another and which are being used on the same call.
Call reconnection
In various embodiments, a call is received at a call center system from a client device of a caller. Caller connection logic, automatically connects the client device of the caller to a conference line. Agent connection logic automatically connects a call agent to the conference line. Disconnection analysis logic determines that a party to the conference line was disconnected from the conference line, the party to the conference line being one of the client device of the caller and the call agent. Disconnection analysis logic detects an indication that the party was disconnected. Based on the detecting, the reconnection logic automatically initiating a reconnection of the party to the conference line.
Conference system
A conference system including a first communication apparatus, a second communication apparatus, and an information processing apparatus is provided. The information processing apparatus includes a memory storing a program and a processor configured to execute the program to implement a process of managing a conference area of a conference. When the processor receives a participation notification to participate in the conference from an information terminal via the first communication apparatus having a first communication range that covers the conference area of the conference and receives a notification from the second communication apparatus that the information terminal is located within a second communication range of the second communication apparatus, the processor implements a process of extending the conference area of the conference to include an extended area covered by the second communication range of the second communication apparatus.
Communication system
There is provided a method comprising: rendering, on a first area of a display controlled by a user terminal, visual data associated with a user participating in a call; determining that the user's connection to the call has ended; determining whether or not the ending of the connection is deliberate; and retaining the area of the display for the user for a predetermined amount of time in dependence on the determination of whether or not the ending of the connection is deliberate.
