CONFERENCE SESSION MANAGEMENT WITH MODE SELECTION
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for conference session management are described. A first request is received from a user device to join a conference session. The first request includes a credential and an indication that the user device is to join the conference session in a passive mode. The credential received from the user device is verified. Upon successful verification of the credential received from the user device, the user device is added to the conference session in the passive mode, wherein audio and video from the conference session are not transmitted to the user device. A user device state indicator associated with the user device is set to passive.
Communicating metadata that identifies a current speaker
A computer system may communicate metadata that identifies a current speaker. The computer system may receive audio data that represents speech of the current speaker, generate an audio fingerprint of the current speaker based on the audio data, and perform automated speaker recognition by comparing the audio fingerprint of the current speaker against stored audio fingerprints contained in a speaker fingerprint repository. The computer system may communicate data indicating that the current speaker is unrecognized to a client device of an observer and receive tagging information that identifies the current speaker from the client device of the observer. The computer system may store the audio fingerprint of the current speaker and metadata that identifies the current speaker in the speaker fingerprint repository and communicate the metadata that identifies the current speaker to at least one of the client device of the observer or a client device of a different observer.
Systems and methods for dynamic latency reduction for conferencing
Methods and systems for reducing latency during conference calls are provided. The method and system can involve a conference call coordinator that evaluates the regions of participants in the call each time a call is added or dropped and transfers the conference call to a media server in the appropriate region.
Managing users within a group that share a single teleconferencing device
A method for identifying and managing users within a group during a teleconference. The method includes a computer processor determining that a group of users are sharing a first client device to communicate, via a teleconference with one or more other users. The method further includes identifying a first user, of the group of user that are sharing the first client device, that is speaking during a first portion of the teleconference. The method further includes determining an action corresponding to the first user, where an action affects managing content of the teleconference at a client device. The method further includes initiating the determined action corresponding to the first user.
CONFERENCE CALL PLATFORM CAPABLE OF GENERATING ENGAGEMENT SCORES
Various systems and methods for objectively evaluating conference events are disclosed. In some embodiments, the systems and methods include a conference calling platform, such as a conference bridge device, that has a scoring unit. During a conference call, the platform can receive information from the conference system pertaining to the conference call. The scoring unit can use such information to determine an engagement score for the conference call itself and/or for individual attendees. The engagement score and/or information related to the engagement score can be provided to an organizer and/or to individual attendees.
System and method to improve management during a conference call
A method to operate with electronic computer hardware to manage operations during simultaneous conference calls, the method comprising: processing each ongoing conference call by iteratively performing at a given time integral the following steps for a given conference call; identifying a set of attributes of the given conference call from a conference call database, the set of attributes comprising: an end time, a set of participants, and a set of participant devices of the given conference call; displaying, in real time, a calendar on the display of each device from the set of participant devices; initiating an auto dial procedure for a subsequent conference call after reviewing the calendar to determine if a subsequent call is scheduled for the given time integral; and terminating the given conference call if the end time of the given conference call is scheduled at the given time integral.
COMMUNICATION BETWEEN USERS OF A TELEPHONE SYSTEM
Each user of a telecommunications system may speak and record their own name, in their own voice, and a recording of their spoken name may subsequently he accessed by or delivered to other users of the system, thereby facilitating communication between users by enabling users to better know how to pronounce the names of other users. A user may listen to the recorded spoken name of another user before placing a call to another user. When a user joins a conference call, their spoken name may be announced to other users (attendees) already in the call. A user joining a conference call may listen to the recorded spoken names of attendees in the call. A button on users' phones may invoke these features.

Bridging a third party onto a contact center communication
Various embodiments of the invention provide methods, systems, and computer program products for bridging a third party onto a communication such as a telephone call or Web chat that is being conducted between a first party and a second party. Specifically, a contact, such as a telephone number or webpage address, is linked with the communication being conducted between the first and second parties and a text message is sent to the third party that includes the contact. For instance, in particular embodiments, this contact may be embedded in the text message so that the third party can simply select the contact from the text message to initiate being bridged onto the communication. Accordingly, the third party makes use of the contact to be bridged onto the communication so that the third party can converse with the first party and the second party.
