IMPROVED HANDLING OF A PACKET SWITCHED EMERGENCY CALL WITHIN A TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK AND/OR ENHANCED HANDLING OF LOCAL EMERGENCY SERVICE INFORMATION BY A USER EQUIPMENT
A telecommunications network comprises an access network and a core network. The access network is a packet switched oriented access network. A user equipment comprises or is able to access the local emergency service information. The local emergency service information is provisioned or provided to the user equipment by the telecommunications network or by another telecommunications network. A packet switched emergency call is initiated, by the user equipment, while the user equipment is connected to the telecommunications network, and an emergency uniform resource name is transmitted, by the user equipment, to a network node of the telecommunications network. The emergency uniform resource name comprises: country and/or network information; and emergency type information and/or emergency call telephone number information. The packet switched emergency call is transferred or routed to a public safety answering point. The public safety answering point is chosen based on the transmitted emergency uniform resource name.
Multi-party call control method and device, and multi-pass terminal
Multi-party call control method and device, and a multi-pass terminal are provided. The method includes: setting up calls with at least two terminals, respectively; and controlling uplink and downlink service data of at least one of the at least two terminals, or informing a network to control uplink and downlink service data of at least one of the at least two terminals, or informing at least one of the at least two terminals to control uplink and downlink service data of the at least one terminal. Compared with the existing techniques, in embodiments of the present disclosure, all the remote terminals in the multi-party call may be flexibly controlled according to different session demands and actions.
Device, system and method for managing channel and/or talkgroup assignments
A device, system and method for managing channel and/or talkgroup assignments is provided. A memory stores: a first list of channels associated with a device identifier of a mobile device; and a second list of channels associated with: a user identifier of a user; and attributes of the user. A controller: receives, via a communications unit, from the mobile device, the user identifier indicating a log-in to the mobile device by the user; selects a subset of the first list of channels, to be temporarily assigned to the mobile device when the user is logged into the mobile device, based on the attributes of the user; and transmits, via the communications unit, to the mobile device, a combined list that includes the subset of the first list of channels, and the second list of channels, to enable the mobile device to communicate using channels in the combined list.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR LEAST COST ROUTING (LCR) OF INTERNATIONAL MOBILE TELEPHONE CALLS WITH AN INTEGRATED MONEY TRANSFER FACILITY
A method and system for least cost routing for mobile telephone calls between the United States and Mexico in such a way so that the call is separated into several call legs and the international portion or call leg is routed via a low-cost or no-cost route independently of the local call legs, essentially achieving an international call with local call rates. This uses a SIM card that automatically identifies any incoming or outgoing call and provides the ability to convert the call from an expensive international and/or roaming call to a local (free) call. Several slight variations are disclosed, and all embodiments have an integrated money transfer service that can be used with a very simple low-cost basic mobile phone using IVR, SMS and voice recognition, or can be accessed via the web or via a smartphone app.
Route an emergency call over VoIP client to cellular device
Systems and methods for routing communications received via a PTSN are disclosed. A communication session server facilitates communication sessions between a first computing device, a second computing device and a public service accessible via a PSTN. The first computing device establishes a communication session with the communication session server using a first communication mode. The second computing device establishes a communication session with the public service using a second communication mode and a communication session with the communication session server using the first communication mode. Communications received by the second computing device from the public service via the second communication mode are routed to the communication session server via the first communication mode. The communication session server then sends the received communications to the first computing device using the first communication mode.
Controlling initiation of dedicated bearer setup following failed dedicated bearer setup
Disclosed are methods and systems for managing air interface communications between a base station and a user equipment device (UE). When setup of a dedicated bearer connection between a base station and a UE served by the base station fails, setup of the dedicated bearer connection can be re-initiated responsive to determining that, following the failure, a threshold extent of dedicated bearer connections have been successfully set up between base station and one or more other UEs.
Lawful Interception Method, Apparatus, And System
This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and discloses a lawful interception method, apparatus, and system for performing lawful interception on local offloaded service data of user equipment. The method includes: receiving, by a centralized gateway device, an interception instruction sent by a lawful interception gateway device, where the interception instruction carries an identifier of to-be-intercepted user equipment; sending, by the centralized gateway device to a remote gateway device, an offloading disabling instruction, where the offloading disabling instruction instructs the remote gateway device to disable a local offloading function of the user equipment; and receiving, by the centralized gateway device, service data of the user equipment sent by the remote gateway device, and reporting the service data to a lawful interception center.
UE and communication method for same
A User Equipment (UE) includes a controller configured to, in a case of a failure of a first emergency call connection attempt using Packet Switched (PS) domain, perform a second emergency call connection attempt using the PS domain, and a transmission and/or reception unit configured to receive a Packet Data Unit (PDU) SESSION ESTABLISHMENT REJECT message as the failure of the first emergency call connection attempt. The UE uses a first access network for the first emergency call connection attempt, and the UE uses a second access network for the second emergency call connection attempt. Thus, for a 5th Generation (5G) mobile communication system corresponding to a next generation mobile communication system, a control method is provided that is performed by a user equipment, an access network apparatus, a core network apparatus, and an IMS apparatus to allow the user equipment to connect to a network suitable for an emergency notification service.
Call processing method, call server, base station, and call system
A call processing method, including receiving a first call request of a calling terminal for a called terminal, triggering a mobility management entity to control a base station to page the called terminal, performing call waiting according to a paging response message when receiving the paging response message from the mobility management entity indicating that the called terminal is a power saving state and cannot be paged by the base station, and establishing a session coupling between the calling terminal and the called terminal according to addressing information of the called terminal when receiving, in a call waiting process, the addressing information of the called terminal from the mobility management entity.
