Certain of the disclosed embodiments present a system and method for providing in-home targeted advertisements to individual consumers. For instance, the disclosed embodiments include an in-home advertising device that enables a user to interact with the in-home advertising device and purchase items with the push of a button. Additionally, in some embodiments, the in-home advertising device may include a built in printer for enabling a user to print an advertised and/or coupon.

A policy and charging enforcement function (PCEF) apparatus, an online charging apparatus, and an online charging method, where the online charging method includes receiving a policy and charging control (PCC) rule from a policy and charging rules function (PCRF), determining that a service data flow of a user equipment is a sponsor service data flow sponsored by a sponsor, determining, based on a rating group of the sponsor service data flow included in the PCC rule, whether the PCEF apparatus has a credit quota available to the sponsor service data flow when the sponsor service data flow uses online charging, and sending a credit control request including the rating group to the online charging apparatus when the PCEF apparatus does not have the credit quota available to the sponsor service data flow.

An endorsement program is set up based on a profile of an advertiser having at least one advertising media. A qualified subscriber is identified for the advertiser based on a profile of a subscriber. One or more advertisers and endorsement programs for the qualified subscriber are selected. In addition, when a communication transmission is received from a source communication device, at least one advertising media is associated with the communication transmission and the communication transmission is transmitted from a source communication device to a destination communication device.

In one example, the present disclosure describes a device, computer-readable medium, and method for discovering and tracking uniform resource locators (URLs) for the purposes of managing sponsored data. For instance, in one example, a method includes monitoring a request for a stream of data delivered to a user endpoint device via a content distribution network, wherein the stream of data is accessed via a digital content distribution application running on the user endpoint device, discovering a uniform resource locator associated with the stream of data, and updating a list of sponsored uniform resource locators in accordance with the discovering, wherein the sponsored uniform resource locators comprise uniform resource locators that are permitted to be accessed by the digital content distribution application without impacting a data allowance allocated to the user endpoint device.

A request, received from the requesting member, can include an identification of a sponsoring network member for a requested network service modification. A group can be generated and associated with the requesting member and with the sponsoring member. The group may also include a group policy referencing the requested network service modification. The sponsoring member can be provided with an activation key for activating the network service modification and a first network policy can be applied to the requesting member and a second network policy can be applied to the sponsoring member.

The system access a lot data structure to parse the log data structure. The system matches a device identifier of the voice call entry with a device identifier of the log entry. The system determines that a predetermined threshold is satisfied by a time or duration of the log entry. The system retrieves a virtual phone number from the log entry. The system performs a lookup to determine a content item impression identifier. The system stores data provided via the voice call entry.

A method including: dynamically allocating a telephone number to an advertisement on a just-in-time basis; and if the telephone number is not called for a predefined period of time, unallocating the telephone number.
