A multifunction device includes an image reading unit, an image forming unit, a lower housing, an upper housing, an operation panel, and a contacting/separating portion. The upper housing includes: a front wall from which the operation panel protrudes frontward; and a rear end portion pivotably connected to the lower housing. Provided is a printing device that performs printing using a recording material, the printing device including: an capacitive touch panel; and a transport operation portion including a mechanical key for operating a transport position of a print medium for printing, in which a panel installation surface provided with the capacitive touch panel is a surface different from a transport operation portion installation surface provided with the transport operation portion.

A reading device includes a body having a base on which a read target object is placed, a reader that reads the read target object placed on the base, a first attachment frame to which the reader is attached such that the reader is disposed above the base, an operation unit that is used for operating the device by touching, a second attachment frame to which the operation unit is attached such that the operation unit is disposed above the base and below the reader, and a body frame to which at least the first attachment frame is attached. The image forming unit forms an image on a sheet. The operation unit is freely placed on the housing top face and accepts a user operation for causing the image forming unit to execute image formation. The operation unit includes a touch panel having a display face on which information about the image formation is displayed and accepting touch operation performed by a user. The supporting base supports the touch panel so that an inclination angle of the display face inclined with respect to the housing top face becomes one of 5 degrees or more and 45 degrees or less when the operation unit is placed on the housing top face.

A information processing device includes an operating panel that includes an operating surface on which an input operation can be performed, and a housing that includes an exterior surface and to which a rotation shaft rotatably supporting the operating panel is coupled. The operating panel includes an exposed surface where the operating panel is exposed, the exposed surface being flush with the exterior surface when the operating panel is in a housed position in which the operating panel is housed in the housing. The operating panel includes a pressing surface at one end and a following surface at another end of the exposed surface with the rotation shaft being a boundary therebetween in plan view of the exposed surface when the operating panel is in the housed position. When the pressing surface is pressed, the operating panel is rotated, and the following surface protrudes outward from the exterior surface.
