In an aspect, a computing system is configured to: send, to a transfer rail server, a request for stored card data associated with a value transfer card; receive stored card data identifying an entity having a stored representation of the value transfer card; provide user interface data to a client device, the user interface data causing the client device to display a user interface that includes an entity listing that is based on the stored card data, the user interface including a selectable option to add an entity-based control to the identified entity; receive, from the client device, an instruction to apply an entity-based control to an identified one of the entities in the stored card data; and in response to receiving the instruction to apply the entity-based control, implement the entity-based control to affect use of the value transfer card by the identified entity and not affect use of the value transfer card by other entities.
Language selection for user interface
A method provides for language selection on a shared local user interface, such as an interface for operating a printer that is used by multiple users having a variety of first languages. The method includes providing at least one mechanism on a shared local user interface for selection of one of an original set of languages for text to be displayed on the local user interface. One mechanism may include displaying text in each of the languages contemporaneously or sequentially. At a plurality of times, a respective user's selection of one of the original set of languages is received. Based on a plurality of user selections, a modified set of languages can be learned which is then used in place of the original set of languages when providing the at least one language selection mechanism at a subsequent time.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming device forming an image indicated by print data on a recording sheet; and a control device including a processor and functioning, through the processor executing a control program, as a controller configured to: extract text contained in the print data to determine a kind of a language of the text extracted; determine, for each determined kind of the language, whether to record the text consisting of the language of the determined kind; and when determining that the text is to be recorded, cause the image forming device to image form the text consisting of the language of the determined kind on the recording sheet, and, when determining that the text is not to be recorded, not to cause the image forming device to image form the text consisting of the language of the determined kind on the recording sheet.
Apparatus, method, and storage medium for character recognition processing
An information processing apparatus includes an interface and a processor. The interface may acquire an image, such as by scanning or received via an interface, such as a facsimile machine. The processor may use a character recognition engine to execute a character recognition process on the image. The process is configured to stop the character recognition process on the image when the elapsed recognition process time exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The processor is further configured to restart the character recognition process on the image when a restart condition is satisfied. As such, the processor thus may skip certain images that require unusually long processing time for character recognition and the processor may process and send out results on other images that do not require excessive character recognition processing time.

Based on a determination that the language type of the display language does not match the language type of the targeted language, the server apparatus instructs the image forming apparatus to change from the language type of the display language to the language type of the targeted language. Based on a determination that the language type of the display language matches the language type of the targeted language, the server apparatus disregards the instruction to change the language type of the display language of the image forming apparatus.
