For seated exercises, at least one of the variable resistance modules is coupled to the backrest of the seat, and the cable is pulled outwardly and toward a seated user. The variable resistance modules are coupled to the platform or the backrest of the seat using elongated rigid members. The variable resistance cables may be pulled with separate handles or pulled simultaneously with a barbell component forming part of the system.

A mobile exercise device configured to enhance virtual reality experiences is provided. The system generally comprises a harness, top supports, bottom-carrying arms, resistance elements, and attachment elements secured to said resistance elements. In some preferred embodiments, a mechanical arm and/or top-carrying arm may be used to change the position of the resistance elements about a user. The resistance elements are preferably secured to a glove worn by a user, allowing for resistance in multiple directions. In one preferred embodiment, a control system may be used to adjust the tension of the resistance elements. In another embodiment, the system may be configured to operably connect to a gaming system, wherein an actuator operably connected to said resistance elements is responsible for adjusting tension based on actions by a user within a digital environment.

CAMERA DEVICE FOR WORKOUT

An exercise machine includes a cable. It further includes an interface to a moveable camera device coupled with the exercise machine. It further includes a processor configured to receive a cable-based measurement associated with an exercise performed by a user. The processor is further configured to receive, from the moveable camera device, video information associated with the exercise. The processor is further configured to provide a workout determination based at least in part on both the cable-based measurement and the video information received from the moveable camera device.
