SHEET SEPARATING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE SHEET SEPARATING DEVICE
A sheet separating device includes a stacker, a pickup member, an air supplier and a sheet floating restraint. The stacker is configured to stack a plurality of sheets. The pickup member is configured to convey the plurality of sheets one by one from the stacker. Tile air supplier includes ail air outlet, at a downstream side of the stacker in a sheet conveyance direction. The air supplier is configured to blow air toward a downstream end of the plurality* of sheets in the sheet conveyance direction. The sheet floating restraint is configured to restrict floating of a part of the plurality of sheets separated by air blown from the air outlet. The sheet floating restraint is replaceable with another sheet floating restraint. The sheet floating restraint and said another sheet floating restraint have respective shapes different from each other.
Information processing apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a read image and item information, the read image being an image obtained by reading a paper medium including plural documents, the item information being information of an item specified by a user from among plural items contained in the documents; extract a character string from the read image, the character string being associated with the item information; if a character string contained in a page of the read image and extracted from the page differs from a character string extracted from the previous page immediately preceding the page, set a split position, the split position being a position at which to split out a portion of the read image as a set of documents, the portion being a portion of the read image from a page where extraction has begun to the previous page; and output the read image split in accordance with the split position.
Printing non-user patterns with a print job
The systems and methods presented here completely separate a non-user pattern from the user jobs being printed. In fact, depending on the number of images in the job and the number of patterns provided by the manufacturer or press operator, the patterns may appear on different images of the job each time the job is printed. This is because the image marks are generated and processed according to the configuration of ROUS, independent of the user jobs being printed.
Image reading apparatus, image forming system, curl amount calculation method, and storage medium comprising a conveyor, a reader and a first hardwarte processor that calculates a blur amount of an extracted edge and calculates a curl amount of a sheet based on the calculated blur amount
An image reading apparatus including: a conveyor that conveys a sheet on which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus; a reader that reads the sheet conveyed by the conveyor, by using a contact image sensor; and a first hardware processor that extracts an edge of the sheet by analyzing a read image by the reader, calculates a blur amount of the edge based on the extracted edge, and calculates a curl amount of the sheet based on the calculated blur amount.
Sheet separating device and image forming apparatus incorporating the sheet separating device
A sheet separating device includes a stacker, a pickup member, an air supplier, and a sheet floating restraint. The stacker is configured to stack a plurality of sheets. The pickup member is configured to convey the plurality of sheets one by one from the stacker. The air supplier includes an air outlet, at a downstream side of the stacker in a sheet conveyance direction. The air supplier is configured to blow air toward a downstream end of the plurality of sheets in the sheet conveyance direction. The sheet floating restraint is configured to restrict floating of a part of the plurality of sheets separated by air blown from the air outlet. The sheet floating restraint is replaceable with another sheet floating restraint. The sheet floating restraint and said another sheet floating restraint have respective shapes different from each other.
Printer including copy and scan functions
Copy and scan printing may include scanning, by scanner disposed along a paper path between a paper delivery roller and a paper pickup roller, content of documents (302). Further, copy and scan printing may include determining whether the documents are to be copied (304), in response to a determination that the documents are to be copied, determining whether a page count of the documents to be copied is available (306), and generating copies of the documents (310).
Image forming apparatus, method of control, and program product for printing an image on a sheet based on a setting and counting a number of sheets on which scanned images determined to be chromatic or achromatic are printed
An apparatus includes a specifying unit that specifies a color; an input unit that inputs an image; a converting unit that converts a color in the image, which has a hue within a predetermined range with respect to the specified color, into a color of a predetermined hue and converts a color in the image, which has a hue outside the predetermined range with respect to the color, into black; a printing unit that prints the image subjected to the converted color; and a counting unit that separately counts a number of sheets when the printed image includes the color of the predetermined hue and a number of sheets when the printed image does not include the color of the predetermined hue.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes: a conveyor; an image recording device configured to record an image on a printing medium conveyed in a conveyance direction by the conveyor; a divider provided downstream of the image recording device in the conveyance direction and configured to divide the printing medium; a detector provided upstream of the divider in the conveyance direction and configured to detect a trailing end portion of the printing medium; and a controller causing the printing apparatus to: calculate a dividing position of the printing medium based on a length of the printing medium that is grasped by detecting the trailing end portion by the detector; convey the printing medium in a reverse direction by the conveyor to move the dividing position to a position of the divider; and divide the printing medium at the dividing position by the divider.
SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet feeding apparatus includes a control unit. After finishing feeding the sheet, if the sheet detection unit does not detect the sheet when the lift plate is positioned at the sheet feeding position, the control unit sets the waiting position to a lowest position. Further, if the sheet detection unit detects the sheet and if the remaining amount detection unit detects that the remaining amount of the sheets is a predetermined amount or less, the control unit sets the waiting position to a height position between the sheet feeding position and the lowest position. Further, if the sheet detection unit detects the sheet and if the remaining amount detection unit detects that the remaining amount of the sheets is more than the predetermined amount, the control unit sets the waiting position to the lowest position.
Image reading apparatus and original transporting method
A first transport roller that is positioned upstream of a reading member and that applies sending force to an original, a second transport roller that is positioned downstream of the reading member and that applies sending force to the original. A first transporting mode is included in a plurality of transporting modes executable by a control member. The first transporting mode includes a period in which a largest set velocity value in transporting the original while in a first state in which reading is performed while the original receives sending force from, among the first transport roller and the second transport roller, the first transport roller alone is set higher than a largest set velocity value in transporting the original while in a second state in which reading is performed while the original receives sending force from both the first transport roller and the second transport roller.
