The connection establisher establishes continuous connection with a communication device. The first transmission request receiver receives a first transmission request t for displaying a setting screen corresponding to a first type of service. In response to the first transmission request being received from the external device, the first determiner determine whether a second type of service is currently provided. The first screen data transmitter transmits first screen data for displaying a first setting screen to the external device in response to the first determiner determining that the second type of service is not currently provided. The first disconnector disconnects the continuous connection in response to selection of a disconnection button included in the first setting screen displayed on the external device.

In accordance with an embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises a storage section configured to store a setting indicating one of a first condition for permitting start of an application both in a login state and in a logout state and a second condition for permitting start of the application only in the login state; a receiving section configured to receive an instruction to start the application; and a control section configured to start the application if the first condition is set for the application or start the application on condition that the image forming apparatus is in the login state if the second condition is set for the application in response to a start instruction in a logout state.

An electronic apparatus includes: a first acceptor that accepts a first login; a second acceptor that accepts a second login; and an execution section. The controller controls the image formation, the reading and the post processing, judges the requested degree of importance of reading for a reading target on the document or the sheet, judges existence or nonexistence of an overlap between an execution timing of the reading and a timing of generation of vibration at the post processing, judges the necessity of a countermeasure to prevent the overlap from occurring with reference to the degree of importance of reading and the existence or nonexistence of the overlap, and controls the execution timing of the reading and the post processing to prevent the overlap from occurring when the controller determines that the countermeasure is necessary.
