An image forming apparatus includes: a wireless communication board on which a communication circuit is mounted, the communication circuit communicating image data with an external device in a wireless manner; an image forming unit that forms an image based on the image data; a control board connected to the wireless communication board via a connection line to control an image forming operation of the image forming unit; and an accommodation portion of a metal material in which the control board is accommodated, wherein a predetermined metal plate constituting the accommodation portion has a recessed portion, and the wireless communication board is positioned in the recessed portion.

In an example, a print system identifies a number of drops to eject corresponding to an expected variation in print fluid based on media temperature and generate print instructions to operate a fluid eject device to that effect. In another example, a print system includes a temperature engine to identify a temperature, a compensator engine to identify a number of drops of print fluid based on the media temperature, and a control engine to generate print instructions to operate a fluid ejection device to place the number of drops of print fluid on media.

In accordance with an embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises a measurement section configured to measure first environmental information of a measurement position in a first period; an acquisition section configured to acquire first external environmental information measured by a first external device; and a controller configured to estimate second environmental information of the measurement position in a second period different from the first period using the first external environmental information, and perform control to execute a maintenance operation based on the second environmental information.

A semiconductor device includes a load element, a switching element, and a processor. The load element controls a temperature of the semiconductor device with an electric current supplied to the load element. The switching element switches between supply of an electric current to the load element and a cut-off of the supply. The processor controls the switching element. The processor controls the electric current to be supplied to the load element through the switching element so that the semiconductor device has a series of temperatures represented by a specific temperature profile.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a temperature input unit, and an image processing unit. The image forming unit forms an image on a recording sheet. The temperature input unit receives an input of an environmental temperature. The image processing unit performs a preliminarily set process on the image based on the input environmental temperature. The process changes in accordance with the environmental temperature.

An image forming apparatus comprises a first temperature detector to detect a temperature of a first portion of an optical scanning device in a printer. The first portion is proximate to a heat generating element in the optical scanning device. A second temperature detector is provided to detect a temperature of a second portion of the optical scanning device, which is farther from the heat generating element than the first portion. A controller is configured to perform alignment control for correcting a color positional shift of the printer when either a detected temperature change of the first portion is greater than or equal to a first threshold value or a detected temperature change of the second portion is greater than or equal to a second threshold value.
