IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A mobile terminal apparatus receives a setting reference value set of plural setting items for an image forming apparatus from a management server, and transmits it to the image forming apparatus using near field wireless communication. The image forming apparatus determines a setting item of which a current setting value is different from the setting reference value, and transmits through the near field wireless communication to the mobile terminal apparatus adjustment item data that indicates the determined setting item, the setting reference value and the current setting value. The mobile terminal apparatus displays the received adjustment item data, and transmits through the near field wireless communication to the image forming apparatus an adjustment instruction that indicates a setting value of a setting item specified by a user in the adjustment item data. The image forming apparatus changes a setting value in accordance with the received adjustment instruction.
PRINTING SYSTEM AND MANAGING METHOD FOR PRINTING SYSTEM
A printing system that performs printing includes a printing apparatus in which at least a part thereof is configured by a unit part which is a replaceable function component. The printing apparatus is controlled using a command group including a printer control command which is a command for controlling the printing apparatus and a unit inspection command which is a command used for an inspection of the unit part. At least a part of the printing apparatus is configured by a plurality of unit parts having different functions. The plurality of unit parts are configured to be inspected using the unit inspection command.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND CONTROL PROGRAM
Provide is an image forming system and a control program capable of preventing a setting error of an output mode by a user when newly generating a correct image. An image forming system includes an image forming unit, an image reading unit, a reference image acquiring unit, and a control unit. The image reading unit reads the image on the sheet formed by the image forming unit. The reference image acquiring unit acquires a reference image as a reference for determining whether the image of the print job formed on the sheet is normal. The control unit prohibits forming of a plurality of copies of the image of the print job by the image forming unit when the reference image acquiring unit newly generates and acquires a reference image by reading the image formed on the sheet by the image forming unit using the image reading unit.
SERVER SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present invention offers a server system including a transmission unit configured to, based on error information acquired, transmitting audio notification information for causing an audio control device to audibly notify a user of information about an error occurring in a communication apparatus. Control is performed such that, in a case where a plurality of errors is occurring in the communication apparatus, based on the audio notification information transmitted, information about a first error from among the plurality of errors is audibly notified to the user by the audio control device, and information about a second error different from the first error from among the plurality of errors is not audibly notified to the user by the audio control device.
DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM, COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, DIAGNOSTIC METHOD, AND COMPUTER DATA SIGNAL
A diagnostic apparatus includes a first acquiring unit that acquires sound information, a second acquiring unit that acquires operation information indicating a component in operation among a plurality of components of an analysis target apparatus, and a display unit that, when the acquired sound information is reproduced, displays operating states of the plurality of components at the time point when the reproduced sound is acquired, using the operation information.
Information processing apparatus information processing system, and non-transitory computer readable medium for providing notification to a user of occurrence of a fault
An information processing apparatus includes a sensing unit that senses occurrence of a predetermined fault through one of detection of the occurrence of the fault and prediction of the occurrence of the fault, and a notifying unit that, when the fault is sensed to have occurred by the sensing unit, identifies a user to be notified that the fault is sensed to have occurred from among multiple users registered in advance, and notifies an information processing terminal of the identified user that the fault has occurred.
Systems and methods for printer maintenance operations
The present disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for executing various types of maintenance operations upon various types of printers. The maintenance operations can include preemptive actions that are taken upon a printer that is being operated in a certain environment, the preemptive actions based on evaluating operational statistics associated with a set of similar printers operated in a similar environment. The operational statistics, which are automatically accumulated over a period of time for various printers under various operating conditions, can be implemented in various ways, such as in the form of behavioral models and/or predictive models. In some embodiments, the behavioral models and/or predictive models indicate an expected-time-to-failure of a component when a printer is operated in a certain environment. The expected-time-to-failure information can be utilized to execute preemptive printer maintenance operations such as scheduling a replacement of the component ahead of the expected-time-to-failure.
Diagnosing an image forming apparatus based on sound signal analysis
A diagnostic apparatus includes a first acquiring unit that acquires sound information, a second acquiring unit that acquires operation information indicating a component in operation among a plurality of components of an analysis target apparatus, and a display unit that, when the acquired sound information is reproduced, displays operating states of the plurality of components at the time point when the reproduced sound is acquired, using the operation information.

System and method of determining if users can fix or repair MFP errors in a printing system
A method, a system, a server, and a computer readable medium are disclosed for a server connectable to at least one printer to judge an error level, which includes (a) receiving a notification of a given error which has occurred at a given printer; (b) judging on whether there is an unfinished job corresponding to the given printer; (c) judging on whether the unfinished job can be redirected to other printer than the given printer; and (d) determining an error level for displaying the given error based on the judgment at step (c).
