An image processing device includes a classification unit that classifies a plurality of a first document image or a plurality of a second document image in accordance with an arrangement of documents, and a generation unit that generates an image in accordance with a result of the classification.

A method for reducing image burn-in artifacts in an electrophotographic printing system, includes receiving a print job including image data for a set of pages to be printed. The pages are analyzed to determine that the image data for a sequence of pages in the print job are similar. The similar pages are printed using a pattern of lateral translations wherein the image data is laterally translated such that it is printed at a different lateral position on the printed page.

A method for reducing image burn-in artifacts in an electrophotographic printing system, includes receiving a print job including image data for a set of pages to be printed. The pages are analyzed to determine that the image data for a sequence of pages in the print job are similar. The similar pages are printed using a pattern of page orientations including a first page orientation and a second page orientation, wherein the image data for the second page orientation is rotated 180 degrees relative to the image data for the first page orientation.

In an example implementation, a method of providing image registration information in a digital printing press includes imaging a printed page on an impression drum of a digital printing press, determining image registration information from printed content on the page, and displaying a graphical visualization of the image registration information on a user interface screen of the digital printing press.

An image processing apparatus includes an interface through which scanned image data obtained by scanning a designated region, is acquired, and a processor. The processor extracts a contour line representing a document area from the scanned image data, extracts vertices of the contour line, determines whether a plurality of original documents is present in the document area based on the vertices, extracts document image data of each original document from the scanned image data, and generates one file including the extracted document image data for each original document.

There is provided an information processing apparatus. A processing unit receives original document data defining a design of an original document and processes the original document data so as to conform to a completion state of the original document during output. A creating unit creates output data in which the original document based on the processed original document data is disposed in an arrangement region on a recording medium having the original document formed thereon in a case where a ratio of a region of the original document based on the processed original document data to the arrangement region falls within an arrangement limitation, in a case where an amount of processing performed by the processing unit falls within a processing limitation.

There is provided an information processing device including an evaluation value calculation unit configured to calculate an evaluation value of each of candidate images which are candidates for an image to be selected based on information regarding an image corresponding to each of the candidate images, a page allocation unit configured to determine the number of pages based on a parameter regarding a layout and determine the number of images disposed in each page based on the parameter regarding the layout and the calculated evaluation value, an image selection unit configured to select the image among the candidate images based on the parameter regarding the layout and the calculated evaluation value, and a layout generation unit configured to generate the layout in which the selected image is disposed for each page based on the parameter regarding the layout and the evaluation value corresponding to the selected image.

According to one embodiment, a tablet printing apparatus includes: a conveyer configured to convey a tablet along a line; an applicator head including a plurality of nozzles arranged in a direction crossing the conveyance direction of the tablet conveyed by the conveyer, configured to perform printing on the tablet by ejecting a liquid from the nozzles; and a controller configured to control the ejection of the liquid from the nozzles of the applicator head. The length of an array of the nozzles in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction is equal to or longer than the length of the tablet in the direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction. The controller is further configured to control switching of a nozzle used for printing on the tablet among the nozzles by a plurality of sections determined in advance.

A method and system for removing objects from a print document are provided. An image forming apparatus receives a print document sent from a computing device remote from the image forming apparatus. The print document includes print data. The image forming apparatus further receives a directive to remove, from the print document, at least one type of object selected for removal, wherein the print data includes data representing one or more objects of the type of object selected for removal. In response to the directive, the image forming apparatus removes the one or more objects of the type of object selected for removal prior to printing the print document.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions executable by a processor of an information processing device that includes a user interface and a display. The instructions are configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the information processing device to accept, via the user interface, an operation to specify a rearrangement condition for a plurality of pieces of image data to be obtained, obtain image data of a single sheet, determine an arrangement order for arranging first image data and second image data in accordance with the rearrangement condition specified by the accepted operation, the first image data being image data of one or more sheets obtained earlier than the second image data, the second image data being the image data of the single sheet, and display, on the display, images contained in the first image data and the second image data, to be arranged in the determined arrangement order.
