Embodiments of the disclosure are applied to image amplification.
Image Reading Device, Method For The Same To Detect A Foreign Body On A Scanner Glass Platen, And Recording Medium
An image reading device includes: a scanner glass; photo-sensors arranged at intervals in a main scanning direction to read a document conveyed in a sub-scanning direction; an adjuster that adjusts the size of an overlapping area between a first and second image obtained by neighboring photo-sensors, the overlapping area constituting a first area of the first image and a second area of the second image; a superimposing portion that shifts either one of images of the first and second area to the other one; a judgment portion that judges whether the images having different focal depths exist based on the degree of matching between the first and second area; and a detector that detects a foreign body on the scanner glass platen by detecting a continuous image stretching in a document conveying direction in both of the images having different focal depths, if the images having different focal depths exist.
Systems and methods for detection and high-quality capture of documents on a cluttered tabletop with an automatically controlled camera
Described are systems and methods for recognizing paper documents on a tabletop using an overhead camera mounted on pan-tilt servos. The described automated system first finds paper documents on a cluttered desk based on a text probability map, constructed using multiple images acquired at fixed grid positions, and then captures a sequence of high-resolution overlapping frames of the located document(s), which are then fused together and perspective-rectified, using computed homography, to reconstruct a high quality and fronto-parallel document image that is of sufficient quality required for optical character recognition. The extracted textual information may be used, for example, for indexing and search, document repository and/or language translation applications.
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
An image processing device includes a classification unit that classifies a plurality of a first document image or a plurality of a second document image in accordance with an arrangement of documents, and a generation unit that generates an image in accordance with a result of the classification.
SCANNER AND METHOD OF GENERATING IMAGE DATA
There is provided a scanner including: a first light source that generates light of a first wavelength; a mark that emits light in a case where light of the first wavelength is received; a deviation calculation section that calculates a deviation between a plurality of sensors based on sensor outputs acquired in such a way that the sensors detect light emitted from the same mark; a second light source that generates light which does not include light of the first wavelength; and an image generation section that generates image data based on the sensor outputs, acquired in such a way that the plurality of sensors detect light acquired when light from the second light source is stuck on and is reflected in the document, and the deviation.
Event taken-picture arrangement device, control method thereof and control program thereof
Disclosed are an event-specific taken picture arrangement device, a control method thereof and a control program thereof capable of efficiently observing the status of a change of a specific object by event. Multiple pictures P are divided into event picture groups ga1, gb1, gc1, and the like by event using a picture-taking date. The event picture groups ga1 and the like are further grouped into a plurality of groups of taken picture Ev1 to Ev6 by identical event. The taken pictures P of the identical event are consecutively arranged in an electronic album by identical event.
Method for reproducing images and image-processing apparatus using the method
A method for reproducing images comprises the steps of: obtaining 1.sup.st to N.sup.th scan images in order, where N is a positive integer greater than 2; processing the 1.sup.st to N.sup.th scan images into 1.sup.st to N.sup.th document images and obtaining sizes of the 1.sup.st to N.sup.th document images; and performing an ordered document typesetting according to an ordered accumulated size of the 1.sup.st to N.sup.th document images to generate image data corresponding to one or multiple output pages. An image-processing apparatus is also provided. Thus, it is possible to prevent the waste of printing a small-size document image on a large-size sheet, and the user can obtain the order of documents according to the order of the output pages. So, an instinctive and environment protective copying technical solution can be provided, and an output result can be further adjusted.
METHOD OF PRINTING
A printing method for printing an image exceeding an available size constraint of a printer comprises the steps of: providing a digital raster image comprising a plurality of pixels, the raster image comprising color and height information for each pixel; providing an algorithm for determining an optimal division of the digital image into a plurality of parts based on the information of the plurality of pixels of the raster image; image processing of the raster image comprising the step of applying the algorithm to the raster image to obtain a plurality of partial images defined by a plurality of accompanying contours; providing a substrate; printing an obtained partial image; cutting a panel from the substrate in accordance with an accompanying contour of a partial image. The present invention further relates to a printed object manufactured with the invented method and to a printer comprising a controller configured for performing the invented method.
