Running Form Training Device
A running form training device for training a runner to properly position and move their arms includes a harness, a pair of bands, and a pair of cuffs. The harness can be donned by a user so that the harness is removably engaged to a torso of the user. The bands are resiliently stretchable. Each band is engaged to the harness so that the band extends from proximate to a front of a respective shoulder of the user. Each cuff is engaged to a first end of a respective band and is removably engageable to a respective wrist of the user. The bands draw the arms of the user toward the harness, thereby restricting movement and positioning of the arms to promote proper running form.
MULTIFACETED EXERCISE SYSTEM
A multifaceted exercise system is provided having several components, each capable of performing a different exercise. A vest worn by the exerciser has front segment and back segment, each segment having spaced apart O-rings and resistance bands secured by each O-ring adapted to be forced forward and laterally in order to exercise the chest. The back segment of the vest is provided with a panel member having roller receiving cavities each having fitted with a roller for performing a squatting exercise by moving the back panel member up and down a flat surface such as a wall. The back segment of the exercise device is also provided with a left O-ring and a right O-ring, a left resistance band having its upper end secured to the left O-ring and its lower end secured to the left foot, and a right resistance band having its upper end secured to the right O-ring and its lower end secured to the right foot. The exerciser can conduct abdominal exercises by removing the panel member from the back of the vest, placing it on a flat surface, and pushing and pulling the panel member using the hands of the exerciser.
Weight training vest
A weight-training vest assembly may include front and rear panels for receiving weighted inserts. First and second lateral cummerbund segments may connect the front and rear panels along a wearer's torso sides and respectively include a zippered pocket and/or a lapped-band pocket. The zippered pocket may include a zipper operable to block or unblock an aperture that permits access into an internal volume from outside the zippered pocket. The lapped-band pocket may include a lower rim of a cover substrate lapped over an upper rim of a base substrate to define a fastener-less passage into an interior volume of the lapped-band pocket. Stretch woven fabric or other stretchable material may form the pockets, e.g., to maintain snugness despite user athletic training movements and/or to maintain the rims in overlapping engagement to retain items within the lapped-band pocket.
BREATHABLE HEAVYWEIGHT GARMENTS FOR PHYSICAL CONDITIONING
In some embodiments, a heavyweight jacket includes a main body configured to fit on the torso of a wearer and sleeves that are fully detached from the main body. The sleeves advantageously facilitate putting on the heavy jacket, while providing a jacket of high weight. To form the heavyweight jacket, a pre-bonded fabric may be used. The fabric is pre-bonded and may optionally be further layered to increase the garment's weight without sacrificing flexibility or breathability. The layered fabric distributes the garment's weight evenly and ensures that the garment does not excessively restrict a wearer's freedom of movement or cause the wearer to overheat. The weight of the fabric may be increased by using a heavyweight glue to bond various layers of material together.
Sports Training and Physiotherapy Garments
A posture and movement training garment 100 comprises at least one elastic element 1-22 arranged to be stretched upon movement of the wearer's trunk and/or at least one of the wearer's limbs away from a predetermined rest or neutral position, thereby to provide the wearer with gentle elastic recoil sufficient to provide the wearer with additional kinaesthetic and/or touch feedback resulting from the movement, substantially without inhibiting the movement. A complementary sports training or physiotherapy garment 300 comprises a fabric base and pockets 50-55 for the reception of weights, the garment further comprising strips of relatively inextensible material 67 forming a network interconnecting the base material within the pockets, in which the majority of the strips run generally longitudinally of the wearer's limbs and torso and form a branched network with bases mainly originating at the wearer's shoulders and/or hips; and wherein the network does not completely encircle the wearer's limbs and torso. The weights may comprise a body 220 formed from an elastomer, in which the body contains an embedded plurality of pieces 216 of a harder, denser material, each piece having a minimum dimension of at least 1.5 mm and in which the individual pieces are movable relative to one another, whereby the body retains its flexibility.
Training Sled Apparatus and Methods of Use
A training sled apparatus, comprising: a platform with a rear edge and a wedge shaped front edge, opposite the rear edge of the platform; and, at least one sleeve provided to the platform and configured for placing a training component therein
WALKING ASSISTANCE APPARATUS AND WALKING TRAINING METHOD
A walking assistance apparatus includes stimulus applying means for applying a stimulus to a leg part on which a walking assistance apparatus is mounted and state detection means for detecting a supporting leg condition and a lifted leg condition of the leg part on which the walking assistance apparatus is mounted. The stimulus applying means applies a first stimulus to the leg part when the state detection means has detected that the leg part on which the walking assistance apparatus is mounted is in the lifted leg condition, and the stimulus applying means does not apply a stimulus to the leg part or applies a second stimulus that is weaker than the first stimulus when the state detection means has detected that the leg part on which the walking assistance apparatus is mounted is in the supporting leg condition.
MUSCULAR EXERCISE EQUIPMENT
The present invention relates to muscular exercise equipment. In particular, disclosed is a muscular exercise apparatus comprising: an upper support bar, which has a certain length and on both sides of which connecting rods are disposed; a lower support bar, which has a certain length and on both sides of which connecting rods are disposed, wherein the connecting rods of the upper support bar and the connecting rods of the lower support bar are fastened to each other such that the upper support bar and the lower support bar have a certain angle therebetween; and a central support bar for supporting the bending motion of at least one of the upper support bar and the lower support bar.
MOTORIZED AIR WALKER AND SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR PARALYZED PERSONS
A system for patient rehabilitation is disclosed. The system includes a first movable frame including an articulating bed, wherein the bed is configured to be selectively articulated to an inclined position, a suspension system, wherein the suspension system is disposed within the articulating bed and is selectively adjustable to accommodate varying patient height, a harness, wherein the harness is selectively engageable with the suspension system, wherein the harness is selectively adjustable to accommodate varying patient sizes, a second movable frame including a walker, wherein the walker includes a pair of legs and a motor, wherein approximation of the two movable frames permits the patient to easily utilize the walker from the bed. A method of using the system for patient rehabilitation is also disclosed.
SUPPORT APPARATUS FOR A SUBJECT AND A METHOD FOR SUPPORTING A SUBJECT IN A SUBSTANTIALLY INVERTED STATE
Apparatus (60) for supporting a subject (2) in an inverted state comprises a ground engaging plinth (8) and a support platform (12) pivotally coupled to the plinth (8) about a first pivot axis (15) so that the support platform (12) is pivotal between a first state with a subject (2) in a supine state on the support platform (12) and a second state with the subject (2) inverted on the support platform (12). The subject is supported in the inverted state on the support platform (12) by shoulder engaging elements (24), and is secured to the support platform (12) by a torso strap (35). A foot engageable element (77) connected to a weight carrying bar (84) through connecting members (79,82) extending through an elongated slot (80) in the support platform (12) allows leg and abdominal muscles to be exercised by urging the foot engageable element (77) in the direction of the arrow A against weights (85) carried on the weight carrying bar (84). A carrier element (81) slideable on a guide bar (83) guides the foot engageable element (77). Handgrips (86) are connected by steel cables (87) around pulleys (88,89,90,91) to the weight carrying bar (84) for facilitating exercising of arm, shoulder, chest and back muscles.
