An image reception apparatus including a reception unit that receives a first image from an image transmission apparatus and a transmission unit that transmits information on an attention area designated by a user in the first image to the image transmission apparatus. When the transmission unit transmits the information to the image transmission apparatus, the reception unit receives, from the image transmission apparatus, the first image together with one or more partial images corresponding to the attention area and constituting a second image of a resolution higher than a resolution of the first image.

Method and system for three-dimensional print oriented image segmentation

A system and method for converting imaging data, for example, medical imaging data, to three-dimensional printer data Imaging data may be received describing for example a three-dimensional volume of a subject or patient. Using printer definition data describing a particular printer, 3D printer input data may be created from the imaging data describing at least part of the three-dimensional volume.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to convert the values of pixels in a glossy region of process target image data by inputting the process target image data to a first learning unit that has been trained using, as first learning data, first read image data and second read image data so as to convert the first read image data into the second read image data. The glossy region corresponds to a glossy portion of a document. The first read image data include the glossy region, and are obtained by optically reading the document in a first reading environment in which the light amount of regularly reflected light from a learning data document acquired by an image sensor is less than a regularly reflected light amount threshold. The second read image data include the glossy region, and are obtained by optically reading the document in a second reading environment in which the light amount of the regularly reflected light acquired by the image sensor is equal to or more than the regularly reflected light amount threshold. The process target image data are obtained by optically reading a process target document in the first reading environment.

An image processing method is performed by an electronic device, the method including: obtaining, according to a quantity of pixels whose color feature values fall within color feature intervals in an original image, a first histogram corresponding to the original image; obtaining, according to a quantity of pixels whose color feature values fall within the color feature intervals in an upsampled image of the original image, a second histogram corresponding to the upsampled image; respectively determining, according to the first histogram and the second histogram, target color feature intervals matching the color feature intervals in the second histogram; and processing, according to the target color feature intervals matching the color feature intervals in the second histogram, the color feature values of the pixels falling within the color feature intervals in the upsampled image, to obtain a target image.

REAL-TIME SUPER RESOLUTION AT LONG STANDOFF RANGES

The system and method for super resolution processing at long standoff distances in real-time. The system collects a series of image frames and estimated the sift, rotation, and zoom parameters between each of the image frames. A matrix is generated and then an inversion is applied to the matrix to produce a super resolution image of an area of interest while mitigating the effect of any “bad” pixels on image quality. In some cases, the area of interest in user-defined and in some cases image chips are provided by tracking software. A fast steering mirror can be used to steer and/or dither the focal plane array.

An image reading apparatus acquires first control data regarding generation of first rectangular image data that includes a whole of a document area corresponding to a document within a reading area of read image data. The image reading apparatus acquires second control data regarding generation of second rectangular image data that does not include a background area not corresponding to the document within the reading area of the read image data and includes at least a part of the document area.

DYNAMICALLY OPTIMIZING PHOTO CAPTURE FOR MULTIPLE SUBJECTS

A user device detects, in a field of view of the camera, a first side of a document, and determines first information associated with the first side of the document. The user device selects a first image resolution based on the first information and captures, by the camera, a first image of the first side of the document according to the first image resolution. The user device detects, in the field of view of the camera, a second side of the document, and determines second information associated with the second side of the document. The user device selects a second image resolution based on the second information, and captures, by the camera, a second image of the second side of the document according to the second image resolution. The user device performs an action related to the first image and the second image.

EMULATING 3D TEXTUAL PATTERNS

Example implementations relate to emulating 3D texture patterns in a printer system. One example implementation receives an image having a number of image pixels and selects from a plurality of digital substrates which each correspond to a physical substrate. Each digital substrate has luminance change data corresponding to heights of a 3D texture pattern at respective locations of the physical substrate. An image having emulated 3D texture is generated by adjusting the luminance of the image pixels corresponding to respective locations of the physical substrate and according to the corresponding luminance change data.
