POLICY-BASED PRINTING SYSTEM AND METHODS USING A PROXY DEVICE
A policy-based printing system is implemented to allow access to a private domain to print using a public domain. The private domain includes private servers that store documents. The public domain includes servers and a printing device. A public policy server uses a domain list and a protocol connection with a private authentication server to validate a user and identify which private domain to access. The public policy server receives requests from the printing device to process a print job of a document in the private domain. A proxy printing device is created to manage a plurality of printing devices and communicate with the public policy server. The proxy printing device corresponds to a condition within the printing devices.
Image reader, method for setting destination information, and storage medium
In a multi-function peripheral (MFP), in some instances, the use of various data transmission functions, such as e-mail or fax, can be prohibited. In such circumstances, acquiring destination information from a business card by optical character recognition and registering the destination information in a list of the MFP's transmission destinations or in an address book can cause an error and force a user to perform additional operations. Based on device settings and user authentication settings, destinations under a disabled protocol are set in a non-display state in advance at the time of display of optical character recognition results.
Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium for outputting information to change a setting item
An information processing apparatus includes: a transmission unit that transmits an object to a particular external device connected to the apparatus; and a guidance output unit that predicts a setting item that should be changed in a case where the object is not transmitted to the particular external device, and that outputs guidance information that suggests changing the setting item.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus includes a reception unit that receives a transmission request for image data from an image processing apparatus to which a user provides an instruction to execute image processing, an acquisition unit that acquires a security policy corresponding to attribute information related to an attribute of the image processing apparatus in a case where the reception unit receives the transmission request, and a control unit that performs control for transmitting the image data to the image processing apparatus and executing the image processing in the image processing apparatus in accordance with the security policy acquired by the acquisition unit.
PROHIBITED PREVIEWS
Example implementations relate to prohibited previews. The system may include a computing device including instructions executable to send a first image to a printing device, wherein the printing device is prohibited to display a preview of the first image and wherein the computing device is not authorized to print the first image utilizing the printing device. The instructions may be executable to send a second image to the printing device, wherein the second image includes a graphical identifier of a sender. The system may include a printing device including instructions executable to display the second image, receive an authorization to print the non-displayable first image, and print the first image.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An image processing apparatus is an image processing apparatus that supports a mail function which is able to be used based on a verification of an access token corresponding to a login user, and comprises a processing unit that starts processing for verifying the validity of an access token corresponding to the login user between the success in login to the image processing apparatus and the completion of scanning processing that follows a scanning instruction corresponding to the login; and a transmitting unit that transmits mail data including image data obtained by the scanning processing to a mail server by using the mail function in accordance with the result for the verification of the access token.
OBSCURED MEDIA COMMUNICATION
Portable computing devices, software operating on and stored in such devices, and methods are described herein that decrypt media in response to one or more input actions. The input actions can be measured or sensed by one or more components of the device. In some versions, a sender can cause a media file to be obscured and provide the one or more actions required to restore the obscured media file. The media file can be shared between client devices of a sender and receiver through messaging application software operating on the client devices.
Information processing method, information processing device, and computer-readable non-transitory storage medium storing program
Provided is a technique capable of guaranteeing that an image submitted online during identity verification is an image photographed on the site. An information processing method executed by an information processing device including a display unit includes displaying, on the display unit, an image of a photographing region output by a photographing device, displaying, in the photographing region displayed on the display unit, a photographing guide indicating a position of an identity verification document in the photographing region and a holding method of the identity verification document, the photographing guide being selected based on a predetermined selection logic, and causing the photographing device to photograph the image of the photographing region.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus on which a web browser is executed, the information processing apparatus causes to, in a case where a web site including a web application is accessed from the information processing apparatus, perform an acquisition request to an operating system to acquire information on each connected device if an access request to access a connected device connected to the information processing apparatus is executed based on the web application, provide a first screen for selection of a connected device, access to which is permitted to the web application, from a list of information on connected devices acquired based on the acquisition request, provide a second screen for setting of an identification name corresponding to the selected connected device; and store, in a storage area, information on the selected connected device and an identification name set in the second screen in association with each other.
CONTROL CAPTURE OF EXECUTION SCREEN
Provided is an image forming apparatus to control capturing of an execution screen displayed. A memory stores at least one application. A user interface device displays an execution screen of an application, to which a user is logged in with an identification (ID) of the user, and receives an input of capturing the execution screen. A processor determines an authority of the ID of the user to capture the execution screen by comparing a security level of the execution screen set based on the data displayed on the execution screen and a security level of the user set with respect to the ID of the user. The processor, in response to the input, controls the capturing of the execution screen, based on the determined authority of the ID of the first user.
