A method and apparatus for redacting a document via a graphical user interface (GUI) on a multi-function device (MFD) are disclosed. For example, the method includes scanning a document, displaying the document on the GUI, receiving a selection of at least one portion of the document to redact via the GUI and creating a new document that redacts the at least one portion of the document that is selected.

In accordance with an embodiment, a management system comprises a first information generation section, a second information generation section, a storage section and a determination section. The first information generation section generates first information indicating that a processing of forming an image on a sheet is executed at the time information instructing formation of the image is input. The second information generation section generates second information indicating that a processing of decolorizing the image formed on the sheet is executed at the time information instructing a processing of decolorizing the image is input. The storage section stores the first information and the second information. The determination section determines whether or not the processing of decolorizing the image formed on the sheet is executed on the sheet by a predetermined time point preset in the management system based on the first information and the second information.

A method and system for delivering encoded content are provided. A holdback representing a portion of the encoded content is extracted, thereby damaging the encoded content. The damaged encoded content is distributed. The holdback is transmitted to enable reintegration of the holdback with the damaged encoded content to restore the encoded content.

Disclosed are various examples of providing analog security for digital data. Content is split into a plurality of framelets. A first framelet is sent to a first client device. A second framelet is sent to a second client device. When the first and second client devices are oriented such that the first and second framelets are aligned in a particular manner, the content is made viewable to a user.
