Image capturing apparatus and control method thereof
11637984 · 2023-04-25 · ·

An image capturing apparatus comprises a plurality of light-receiving circuits, each outputting a pulse signal in response to a photon being incident; a plurality of counter circuits that count the respective pulse signals output by the plurality of light-receiving circuits; and a correction circuit that corrects counts from the plurality of counter circuits and outputs the corrected counts as image data. The correction circuit calculates a correction coefficient on the basis of counts obtained by the plurality of counter circuits in a state where pulse widths of the pulse signals differ or under conditions where generation frequencies of the pulse signals differ, and performs the correction using the correction coefficient.

Automated determination of image acquisition locations in building interiors using multiple data capture devices

Techniques are described for using multiple devices to automatically determine the acquisition location of an image from a camera device, such as within a building interior and by using data from the multiple devices (e.g., visual data from the camera device's image, and additional data captured by a separate mobile computing device in the same area as the camera device), and for subsequently using determined image acquisition location information in one or more further automated manners. The image may be a panorama image or of another type, and the determined acquisition location for such an image may be at least a location on the building's floor plan—in addition, the automated image acquisition location determination may be further performed without having or using information from any depth sensors or other distance-measuring devices about distances from an image's acquisition location to walls or other objects in the surrounding building.

An electronic device may have a housing. The housing may be characterized by a vertical axis and may have housing structures such as cylindrical housing structures with a cylindrical surface. A speaker may be mounted in the housing to provide sound through openings in the housing structures. A visual output device may be mounted in the housing to provide light through openings in the housing structures. The visual output device may include an electrophoretic display, a light-emitting diode display, or other display with an array of pixels that display images or may include other components for emitting light. During operation, voice commands may be received by a microphone in the device and action taken based on the commands and other information. The action taken may include playing sound with the speaker and providing visual output with the visual output device.

A display control apparatus includes a memory and at least one processor which function as a setting unit configured to make a superimposed recording setting for recording a first display element superimposed on a moving image captured by an image capturing unit, and a control unit configured to perform control to display the first display element superimposed on the moving image captured by the image capturing unit in the superimposed recording setting made by the setting unit, and to display the moving image captured by the image capturing unit without superimposing the first display element on the moving image after completion of the superimposed recording setting made by the setting unit.

Methods and systems for generating and providing program guides and content

Systems and methods for identifying, assembling, and publishing content are described. A video content item, having a first time length, is identified by a system to be included in a program scheduled for a first time period. The video may be hosted on a third party system. A first time span within the first program is allocated for the video, wherein the first time span is longer than the first time length. The system determines, prior to or at the first time period, a time difference between a current length of the video and the first time span. At least partly in response to determining that the video has a time length shorter than the first time span, the system selects supplemental content based at least in part of the determined time difference to be streamed to user terminals over a data network within the first time period.

Methods and apparatus for including an automatic program guide channel at multiple locations in a program channel lineup

Methods and apparatus for improving channel browsing experience for users by presenting an automatically appearing and automatically scrolling program guide are described. The methods and apparatus are well suited for use with remote control devices with limited numbers of input buttons, e.g., under five buttons, but can be used with remote controls with more buttons. The program guide can be used to allow access to a grid guide to users of hospital remotes or other remotes with limited input keys, e.g., an up down arrow and/or a power button. The method in some embodiments uses time spent on a channel in combination with user selection of an input key to determine an action to be taken, e.g., enter or display the program grid guide and/or select a channel and/or corresponding program being displayed in the grid guide.
