Methods of adjusting stiffness and flexibility in devices, apparatus and equipment
A resilient rod that provides adjustable directional resistance is disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, a resistance level may be determined based on a thickness of the rod and a position of an applied force with respect to a fulcrum point. In another aspect of the invention, at least one spine may be attached to the beam to increase a diameter of the beam along one axis. The resistance level may be determined based on the thickness of the rod, the position of the applied force and an orientation of the at least one spine with regard to the direction of the applied force. In other aspects of the invention, the resilient rods may be incorporated into a golf club that provides for adjustable resistance levels.
Exercise mats, systems of exercise mats, and related methods
Exercise mats, systems of exercise mats, and related methods of making and/or using the same are provided herein. More specifically, the subject matter disclosed herein relates to exercise mats, such as yoga mats, and systems of exercise mats that provide visual cues and/or different levels of tackiness to provide different levels of grip to optimize a user's connection to the mat and methods related to the exercise mats.
Towel stretching assembly for stretching exercises
There is accordingly provided a flexible sheet assembly for stretching exercises. The assembly has a longitudinal axis. The assembly includes an elongate flexible sheet having a pair of spaced-apart longitudinally extending sides. The sheet has a pair of spaced-apart ends that extend between the sides. The sheet has a first longitudinal portion extending from a first one of the ends towards a second one of the ends. The sheet has a second longitudinal portion extending from the second one of the ends towards the first one of the ends. At least a first one of the longitudinal portions of the sheet has an aperture extending therethrough. Portions of the first one of the longitudinal portions of the sheet adjacent to the aperture are curved.
PORTABLE BARRE EXERCISE DEVICE
A portable, foldable barre exercise device providing balance support for a user during exercise may include a pair of legs and a pair of support arms. Each support arm may be pivotally attached to a corresponding leg and may be adapted to be extended upward with the device in an open state. A horizontal exercise bar may be arranged between upper ends of the support arms. The device may further include a pair of weight stacks of removable dumbbells, each attached to a corresponding support arm, and one or more quick release straps for facilitating folding of the device into a closed state for stowage and for strapping the support arms and legs together. The device is lightweight yet structurally configured so as to support a user's entire weight thereon.
DEVICE FOR PERFORMING VIBRATION TRAINING HAVING ADJUSTABLE HANDLES
The invention relates to a device for carrying out vibration exercise by way of a device user, comprising a platform, two handles which are connected directly or indirectly to the platform and make support of the device user by means of his/her hands possible, and an actuator which is set up to set the platform and the handles which are connected to the platform in a vibration movement, it being possible for the spacing between the two handles to be varied.
COLLAPSIBLE HIP THRUST EXERCISE APPARATUS
In various exemplary scenarios, some embodiments of the present invention provide a collapsible, user-friendly weighted hip thrust exercise apparatus. Various embodiments of the present invention may consist of a base frame enclosing an exercise space, with an upper body support attached to one end of the frame. The frame may be adjustable in length and/or width in order to accommodate different users. The upper body support may be configured to provide an elevated back rest for the user. In an illustrative example, the upper body support height may be adjustable to accommodate different users. In an exemplary scenario illustrative of various embodiments' usage, a user may sit down in the exercise space enclosed by the frame with the user's upper-back and arms resting on top of the upper body support, placing his or her feet on top of the frame on the other width side. The apparatus may further feature a central resistance band positioned at the user's hip line, coupled to side handles or multiple attachment points, and detent pins to removably lock the apparatus in place for use.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AN EXERCISE DEVICE
A method and a cushion extension for an exercise device are provided. The cushion extension includes a first portion covering a surface of the exercise device, the covered surface configured to contact the user during an exercise, a second portion extending from the first portion in a direction of the exercise, and a third portion and a fourth portion each joined to opposite ends of the first portion and each forming a method of attachment between each and the first portion.
EXERCISE MAT FOR USE WITH TRX SUSPENSION TRAINING SYSTEMS
The Companion is an exercise mat that lies on the floor beneath the TRX Suspension Training System (TRX), and includes visual and/or tactile markings (such as numeric measurements) to indicate the proper placement of feet when exercising with the TRX. The mat facilitates correct placement of the feet in terms of proximity to the TRX anchor point to ensure safe and effective exercise technique and the proper degree of resistance as it pertains to body weight. Contours or ridges may also be provided on the mat in order to facilitate proper foot positioning.
Yoga mat carriers
Carriers for securely carrying yoga mats are disclosed. In one embodiment, for example, a carrier comprises a planar portion and a shoulder strap portion coupled to the planar portion. The planar portion includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a securing strap coupled to the first surface. In operation, the first surface of the planar portion is positionable to interface with a yoga mat before the planar portion is rolled up with the yoga mat. The yoga mat can continue to be rolled up until the planar portion wraps around an exterior surface of the rolled-up mat. The shoulder strap is then fed through a securing strap on the carrier to secure the carrier to the yoga mat. The shoulder strap can then be used by a yoga practitioner to carry the yoga mat.
Health promotion system using wireless and ropeless jump rope apparatus
There is provided a health promotion system using a wireless and ropeless jump rope. When a plurality of users use a plurality of wireless and ropeless jump rope apparatuses, each wireless and ropeless jump rope apparatus transmits each user's weight, the number of jumps made by the user and the time of using the wireless and ropeless jump rope to an external health promotion server. The health promotion server analyzes the user's weight, the number of jumps made by the user and the time of using the wireless and ropeless jump rope as transmitted and provides an instructor with the information of the number of jumps made by the user and the analyzed health-relevant data. The instructor who receives the information of the number of jumps made by the user and the analyzed health-relevant data is able to improve the health of the user.
