Exercise machine reversible resistance system
An exercise machine reversible resistance system for reversing the directional force of resistance against an exercise implement before, during, or after the performance of a routine of one or more exercises. The exercise machine reversible resistance system generally includes a frame, an elongated member movably positioned upon the frame, wherein the elongated member has a first run and a second run, a resistance device that applies a resistance force to the elongated member in a single direction, an exercise implement movably connected to the frame and a clutch connected to the exercise implement. The clutch is adapted to selectively engage the first run or the second run of the elongated member for selective control of the resistance direction of the exercise implement.
Exercise machine with adjustable platforms
An exercise machine with adjustable platforms for adjusting the angular orientation of one or more end platforms and/or carriage platform to allow for a wide range of exercise moves. The exercise machine includes a rail to which a carriage is movably connected and a first end platform connected to an end of the rail. The carriage includes a platform which may be adjusted between a level position in which the platform is laid flat and a raised position in which the platform is at an angular incline. The first end platform may similarly and independently be adjustable between the level position in which the first end platform is laid flat and a raised position in which the first end platform is at an angular incline. In some embodiments, the exercise machine may include a second end platform which is similarly adjustable between a level position and a raised position.
HAND MANIPULATING DEVICE AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A hand manipulation device and methods of making and using which include a plurality of rails and connectors that are interconnected to allow the user to push and/or pull on the device so that the connectors slide along the rails. In this manner, the hand manipulating device provides an ability for the user to perform various therapeutic exercises with his/her hands and fingers. Additionally, the hand manipulation device can be equipped with elastomeric bands that can be used to provide an additional elastic force in order to further exercise the user's hands and fingers.
Translating carriage exercise machines and methods of use
A translatable carriage exercise machine comprising first and second spaced elongate side rails. A moveable carriage translatable along the side rails. An upper support surface on the carriage sized to support the entire posterior trunk of an adult human in supine. A plurality of elastic tension members secured to a bottom of the moveable carriage and fixable to a plurality of spring anchors. An upright footbar positioned at a machine first end. A pair of carriage pulleys fixed at a second end of the exercise apparatus with carriage ropes adjustably fixed to the moveable carriage each looped around respective carriage pulleys. A rotational resistance mechanism comprising an elongate resistance band having an extended configuration and a retracted configuration. The rotational resistance mechanism comprising a resistor comprising a load member. A user option to utilize one or more of the elastic tension members and rotational resistance mechanism during exercise.
Exercise apparatus for upper body and method of use
An exercise apparatus for engaging upper body muscles of a person is disclosed. The exercise apparatus includes a generally circular frame having a first set of tracks mounted thereon; a bar extending horizontally across a diameter of the frame, the bar having opposing ends and a second set of tracks mounted thereon; a pair of movable members, wherein each movable member couples to an opposing end of the bar, wherein each movable member includes a handle coupled thereto; and one or more locking mechanisms coupled to the frame.
Cooperative pair exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus includes a frame, a pair of opposed seat assemblies, each of which moves between a side and a joint of the base of the frame, a two-sided foot pad assembly that moves between joints of the base of the frame, and a two-sided handlebar assembly that moves along a curved raised section of the frame. A user sits on a seat, places his/her feet on a foot pad of the foot pad assembly, and grabs a facing handlebar. A user may resist or accept motion of the handlebar and foot pad assemblies cause by the other user. Users may take turns in causing such motion.
Exercise bar carriage locking mechanism
An exercise apparatus comprising: a frame; first and second vertical guides coupled to the frame; first and second carriages carried on the respective first and second vertical guides, each of the first and second carriages having an upper carriage portion, a lower carriage portion and a carriage locking mechanism operable to lock and release the lower carriage portion to a selected vertical position along the first and second vertical guides; and an exercise bar coupled to the upper carriage portion of the first and second carriages, the exercise bar operable to translate or rotate to actuate the carriage locking mechanism.
Exercise machine
An exercise machine which is capable of having its lift, roll, or pitch adjusted with respect to a base so as to provide a plurality of positions of the exercise machine with respect to the base. The exercise machine generally includes a base and an exercise machine movably connected to the base. The exercise machine may include a track, a carriage slidably connected to the track, and a biasing member attached to the carriage to apply a resistive force to the carriage. A plurality of actuators may be connected between the base and the exercise machine. The plurality of actuators may be utilized to adjust a pitch angle or a roll angle of the exercise machine with respect to the base. The plurality of actuators may also be utilized to lift or lower the exercise machine at a constant angle of pitch and/or roll inclination.
Tilting exercise machine
The present invention relates to the field of fitness training devices and exercise machines. More specifically, a substantially horizontal exercise machine comprising an exercise platform slidable along one or more rails aligned with the longitudinal axis of the machine structure, the slidable platform spring-biased towards one end of the machine, is tiltable to allow for one end of the machine to be raised or lowered relative to the opposed end of the machine.
Exercise machine carriage handle system
An exercise machine carriage handle system for providing handles for an exerciser to grasp with their hands thereby expanding the type of exercises that may be performed. The exercise machine carriage handle system generally includes a frame having a track, a carriage movably connected to the track, a bias member connected between the frame and the carriage, a first handle connected to the carriage near the first side, and a second handle connected to the carriage near the second side. The first handle and second handle are adapted for grasping with a first hand and a second hand respectively of a user during the performance of an exercise on the exercise machine.
