Content-aware computer networking devices with video analytics for reducing video storage and video communication bandwidth requirements of a video surveillance network camera system
Disclosed are systems and methods for reducing video communication bandwidth requirements of a video surveillance network camera system that includes network communication paths between network video cameras producing video streams of scenes observed by the network video cameras and content-aware computer networking devices analyzing by video analytics video visual content of the video streams to provide managed video representing, at specified quality levels, samples of the scenes observed. Distribution of the managed video consumes substantially less network bandwidth than would be consumed by delivery through network communication paths a video stream at the specified quality level in the absence of analysis by the video analytics.
Electronic device for recording image by using multiple cameras and operating method thereof
Disclosed are an electronic device for recording an image using multiple cameras and an operating method thereof. The electronic device may include: a first camera configured to acquire an image at a first frame rate; a second camera configured to acquire an image at a second frame rate higher than the first frame rate; a memory; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: identify first capturing attributes corresponding to the first camera; set at least some of second capturing attributes corresponding to the second camera, to correspond to the first capturing attributes; acquire a first image set corresponding to an external object through the first camera based on a signal for capturing the external object; identify whether a designated condition related to a frame rate increase is satisfied; acquire a second image set corresponding to the external object at the second frame rate through the second camera when the designated condition is satisfied; and store, in the memory, at least some first images from the first image set and at least some second images from the second image set, as an image corresponding to the external object.
Device and method for photo and video capture
A single user input element in an image capture device is used for both image and video capture, based on detecting a state change of the single user input element from a first state to a second state based on a detected user activity, and determining a duration of the second state. A first distinct signal indicating that an image capture is triggered is provided based on the duration of the second state being less than a time interval and a second distinct signal indicating that a video recording is triggered is provided based on the duration of the second state being greater than the time interval. The video recording is captured until a state change of the single user input element from the second state to the first state is detected.
TRANSCODING AND CACHING FOR OFF AIR TELEVISION PROGRAMMING DELIVERY
Techniques are disclosed for capturing, transcoding, and caching off-air programming at a location local to the consumer. According to certain embodiments, a device is provided that receives off-air (e.g., broadcast) and/or cable (e.g., ClearQAM) programming via one or more antennas and caches the programming in various streams having various bit rates for later viewing using, for example, Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) streaming. Such a device can be incorporated in a larger system that can stream content via a data communication network (e.g., the Internet) and the device in a seamless manner. The device also can be controlled by a remote system via the data communication network, and further can be configured to stream content to a remote device via the data communication network.
Method for configuring image-recording settings
A method for configuring image-recording settings includes receiving an image source, determining whether the image source is the high dynamic range (HDR) image. If a HDR image source is received, a step is performed for determining whether a recording device supports recording an image with a HDR format, and a step is performed for adding a HDR recording option if the recording device supports recording the image with the HDR format.
Method for processing signals with operating state-dependent handling of multimedia attributes and electronic device thereof
A method for playing a media file in an electronic device is provided. The method includes running, on an electronic device having an operating system (OS), a media presentation system, receiving, at the media presentation system, from a source a media file including audio and video signals, wherein the video signals include the video container of a form suitable for representation on a video output component of the electronic device, playing, at the media presentation system, the media file by processing the audio and video signals, and manipulating, at the media presentation system, the video container depending on an operating state of one or both of the media presentation system and the electronic device while the audio and video signals are being processed.
DIGITAL CAMERA SYSTEM FOR RECORDING, EDITING AND VISUALIZING IMAGES
A digital camera system includes an optical assembly to gather light from a desired scene, a modular imaging subsystem aligned with the optical assembly, and an image processing, recording and display subsystem.

Image processing apparatus
An image processing apparatus 100 includes: an analysis range indicating section 23 that indicates an analysis range that is a range, on a screen of captured-image data, that has a brightness higher than a predetermined brightness; a color analysis section 24 that analyzes a color included in the analysis range; a color correction instructing section 25 that gives an instruction to perform a color correction, on the basis of the color analysis; and an image generator 50 that corrects the captured-image data on the basis of the color correction instruction, so as to generate a corrected image.
Television viewer interface system
A television viewer interface system provides a viewer interface that allows the viewer to access different functions of a system. A highlight bar is responsive to the user's commands and is used to indicate the current menu item that can be selected by the user. Information is presented in a successive disclosure format where the user navigates through menus by moving the highlight bar to the right to obtain more information or to the left to see less information and return to the previous location. The background colors of each set of menus remains consistent throughout the user's experience such that the user intuitively knows what menu area he is in through the color cues. The invention provides indicators that tell the user that more information is available in a particular direction for a menu item.
