A file managing method for a digital apparatus includes (a) establishing a folder corresponding to a file type generated in an operational mode of the digital apparatus, and (b) storing a file according to its file type to the folder corresponding to the file type established in step (a).

TRANSCODING AND CACHING FOR OFF AIR TELEVISION PROGRAMMING DELIVERY
20190335137 · 2019-10-31 ·

Techniques are disclosed for capturing, transcoding, and caching off-air programming at a location local to the consumer. According to certain embodiments, a device is provided that receives off-air (e.g., broadcast) and/or cable (e.g., ClearQAM) programming via one or more antennas and caches the programming in various streams having various bit rates for later viewing using, for example, Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) streaming. Such a device can be incorporated in a larger system that can stream content via a data communication network (e.g., the Internet) and the device in a seamless manner. The device also can be controlled by a remote system via the data communication network, and further can be configured to stream content to a remote device via the data communication network.

METHOD FOR CONFIGURING IMAGE-RECORDING SETTINGS

A method for configuring image-recording settings includes receiving an image source, determining whether the image source is the high dynamic range (HDR) image. If a HDR image source is received, a step is performed for determining whether a recording device supports recording an image with a HDR format, and a step is performed for adding a HDR recording option if the recording device supports recording the image with the HDR format.

Information processing method, information processor, and recording medium

A method includes: holding a device key provided to an information processing terminal; reading an encrypted content and conversion control information from a recording medium; decoding the read encrypted content using the held device key to obtain a decoded content; converting the decoded content into an export format to obtain an export content; generating playback right information indicating that the information processing terminal can play back the converted export content according to the read conversion control information; and controlling whether the playback right information can be generated according to a first flag.

When a key for directly transferring from the screen of a video mode of tape reproduction to the screen of memory stick reproduction is separately arranged, the ratio of an occupation area of the key on the screen is increased. Therefore, a setting operation is performed such that a stop key (11a) is displayed when the video mode is set and no memory stick is mounted as shown in FIG. 1A, and when the tape is being reproduced as shown in FIG. 1C. In contrast to this, the setting operation is also performed such that a switching key (11f) for transferring to the reproducing screen of the memory stick of FIG. 1D is displayed when the video mode is set and no tape is being reproduced and the memory stick is mounted as shown in FIG. 1B.

Method and apparatus for processing video signal

A method and an apparatus for processing a video signal are provided. The method for processing a video signal includes: performing image processing of the video signal which contains no odd-even field information, and acquiring processed field image data; identifying and acquiring corresponding odd-even field information based on first field image data and second field image data continuous in time among the processed field image data; and performing deinterlace processing of the processed field image data based on the corresponding odd-even field information, thereby acquiring frame image data. In this way, the odd-even field information is identified from the image data in real time; the displaying effect of the video image will not be affected even though the fields are discarded, and the cost is low.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RECORDING PROGRAMS USING A NETWORK RECORDING DEVICE AS SUPPLEMENTAL STORAGE
20190268582 · 2019-08-29 ·

Systems and methods for recording programs using a user's equipment and a network recording device are provided. An interactive television application may determine whether the user's equipment has sufficient resources (e.g., tuners or space) to record a program selected for recording. If the interactive television application determines that the user's equipment does not have sufficient resources, the interactive television application may select, automatically or in response to a user instruction, the program for recording with a network recording device. In some embodiments, the user may have to pay for the use of the network recording device, or may be required to purchase a given tier level of service. The interactive television application may play back programs from the network recording device as VOD offerings, or may direct the network recording device to transfer recorded programs to the user's equipment when it has sufficient resources.
