Caching and updating of dense 3D reconstruction data
A method to efficiently update and manage outputs of real time or offline 3D reconstruction and scanning in a mobile device having limited resource and connection to the Internet is provided. The method makes available to a wide variety of mobile XR applications fresh, accurate and comprehensive 3D reconstruction data, in either single user applications or multi-user applications sharing and updating the same 3D reconstruction data. The method includes a block-based 3D data representation that allows local update and maintains neighbor consistency at the same time, and a multi-layer caching mechanism that retrieves, prefetches, and stores 3D data efficiently for XR applications. Between sessions of an XR device, blocks may be persisted on the device or in remote storage in one or more cache layers. The device may, upon starting a new session, selectively use the blocks from one or more layers of the cache.

Multi-dimensional rendering
A photo filter (e.g., multi-dimensional) light field effect system includes an eyewear device having a frame, a temple connected to a lateral side of the frame, and a depth-capturing camera. Execution of programming by a processor configures the system to create an image in each of a least two dimensions and create a multi-dimensional light field effect image with an appearance of a spatial rotation or movement and transitional change, by blending together a left photo filter image and a right photo filter image in each dimension and blending the blended images from all dimensions.
Object detection system, object detection device, and object detection method
An object detection system includes a first detection device configured to control a first camera to acquire a first image of a container and detect an object in the container based on the first image, and a second detection device configured to control a second camera to acquire a second image of the container. The second image is a more detailed or accurate image than the first image for detecting the object in the container based on the second image. The first detection device is further configured to train a learning model for detecting the object in the container based on the first image using detection results from the second detection device as an indication of the correct result, and then use the trained learning model for detecting the object in the container based on the first image.

METHOD OF CALIBRATING A PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM FOR USE WITH A RADIOTHERAPY TREATMENT APPARATUS
Some embodiments are directed to an image director of a patient monitoring system to obtain calibration images of a calibration sheet or other calibration object at various orientations and locations. The images are then stored and processed to calculate camera parameters defining the location and orientation of the image detector and identifying internal characteristics of the image detector, and the information are stored. The patient monitoring system can be re-calibrated by using the image detector to obtain an additional image of a calibration sheet or calibration object. The additional image and the stored camera parameters are then used to detect any apparent change in the internal characteristics of the image detector (10)(S6-4).

METHOD TO DETERMINE IMPAIRED ABILITY TO OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE
A method and system for determining if an individual is impaired. In one embodiment, physical and cognitive testing of the individual are conducted in the field or at the scene of an event. The test results are compared to previously stored baseline test results taken for the specific individual while the individual is known to be in an unimpaired state or condition. The current test results are electronically compared to the baseline test results and if the results differ or deviate beyond a predetermined level or amount the individual is considered to be impaired. If no baseline test results exist for the specific individual, the current test results can alternatively be compared to previously determined or known scientifically accepted or minimums for the specific tests given to the individual.

Packaging systems and methods
Systems and methods for providing a packaging instruction are disclosed. Sensor data of an item to be packaged is captured. The item is identified based on one or more detectable features. The item is determined to be associated with a plurality of item-specific characteristics that require different packaging materials. A plurality of user interface elements comprising the plurality of the item-specific characteristics is presented. A selection of one of the plurality of item-specific characteristics is received. An alternative packaging instruction associated with the received selection of the one of the plurality of item-specific characteristics is presented.
