Treadmill having textured tread surfaces
A treadmill has tread comprised of slats running as a loop between a front roller and a rear roller. The tread is comprised of multiplicity of slats, each comprising a base and a cover which is detachably or permanently attached to the base. The base provides structural strength to support the weight of a user running on the treadmill. The cover of each slat is non-structural and presents to a user's foot one of several surface textures, such as simulated turf grass, simulated outdoor track cobbles, or gym mat. In each slat, the cover has a Shore A Durometer hardness of 50-70, which hardness is less than the hardness of the base.
Portable Abs exercise device
An exercise device includes a base frame having a first baseboard member, a second baseboard member, and a base pad disposed in between. The first baseboard member includes a first locking member disposed on a first headend of the first baseboard member, and the second baseboard member includes a second locking member disposed on a second headend of the second baseboard member. The exercise device further includes a pole frame having a top crossbar, a bottom crossbar, a first side pole, and a second side pole. The first lock member of the first baseboard member is inserted into a cross section of the first side pole and the second lock member of the second baseboard member is inserted into a cross section of the second side pole, such that the pole frame is interlocked with the base frame substantially perpendicularly.
ASSEMBLY FOR ACTIVE AND RESISTIVE JOINT REHABILITATION EXERCISES
An assembly for active and resistive joint rehabilitation exercises enables a joint, such as a knee, to flex in a controlled, curvilinear motion, while enabling adjustable resistance. In this manner, the joint practices both resistive exercises and active exercises for strengthening, as well as redeveloping range of motions. A base member with stabilizing bars provides lateral support for the assembly. The base member has a recessed docking region. A bracket detachably attaches in the docking region and joins the rails to base member. In this manner, the rails can detachably release from the base member. A lever and a base handle enable assembly to be moved and tilted. A vehicle comprises wheels that ride the rails while the foot rests therein, so that joint extends and retracts the curvilinear motion. An adjustment member increases and decreases friction coefficient between the wheels and rails for adjustable resistance of curvilinear motions.
Curved treadmill
A curved treadmill has a frame, a handrail assembly, and a belt assembly. The frame has a support frame, two arced guide tracks and multiple guide wheels. The two arced guide tracks are downwardly concave, and the multiple guide wheels are disposed at a front end and a rear end of the support frame. The belt assembly is mounted around the frame and has at least one connection belt mounted around the guide wheels and multiple pedals fixed with the at least one connection belt. The pedals are adjacent and connected to each other, the pedals are covered on an outer side face of each of the at least one connection belts, and each pedal has a plate fixed to the at least one connection belt and multiple bearings mounted on two ends of the plate and selectively abutting against the two arced guide tracks.
Apparatus and method for restoring voluntary control of locomotion in neuromotor impairments
It is disclosed an apparatus for restoring voluntary control of locomotion in a subject suffering from a neuromotor impairment comprising a multidirectional trunk support system and a device for epidural electrical stimulation. The robotic interface is capable of evaluating, enabling and training motor pattern generation and balance across a variety of natural walking behaviors in subjects with neuromotor impairments. Optionally, pharmacological cocktails can be administered to enhance rehabilitation results. It is also disclosed a method for the evaluation, enablement and training of a subject suffering from neuromotor impairments by combining robotically assisted evaluation tools with sophisticated neurobiomechanical and statistical analyzes. A method for the rehabilitation (by this term also comprising restoring voluntary control of locomotion) of a subject suffering from a neuromotor impairment in particular partial or total paralysis of limbs, is also disclosed.
Tread Base for Treadmill
A tread base includes a tread base frame unit with front and rear belt wheel sets arranged at opposing front and rear sides thereof, and an endless running belt mounted around the front and rear belt wheel sets and having slats transversely arranged on the outer perimeter thereof in a parallel manner. The running belt includes a plurality of movable sliding rollers respectively mounted at the opposing left and right ends of the slats. The tread base frame unit includes two smoothly arched sliding tracks longitudinally arranged in parallel for supporting and guiding the movable sliding rollers of the running belt to enhance the moving stability of the running belt, preventing breaking of the slats of the running belt, avoiding danger and prolonging the lifespan of the tread base.
Lower Back Exercise Apparatus
A lower back exercise apparatus exercises or imparts laterally and upwardly directed movements into a user's lower back when seated thereupon. The lower back exercise apparatus includes a lower base assembly, an upper seat assembly, and a motor assembly. The lower base assembly includes an upper, laterally concave base surface. The upper seat assembly includes a lower, laterally convex seat surface and an upper seat surface. The upper seat assembly is laterally ridable upon and movable relative to the lower base assembly. The motor assembly is drives a laterally directed, cylindrical arc length trajectory of the upper seat assembly relative to the lower base assembly. The concave and convex surfacing have a common radius of curvature with a common fulcrum point spatially located adjacent an upper portion of a user's lumbar spinal region Lateral flexion is thus imparted into a user's lower back when a user is seated thereupon.
MULTI-PLANAR ROTATIONAL PLATFORM AND SUSPENSION DEVICE
The present invention relates to a device which enables a selective therapeutic exercise regimen by providing a tensioning mechanism attached to a rotatable platform along with the unique feature is where two trollies on curved rails operating on X-axis and Y-axis when pressure is applied, will work in unison to travel in any desired direction creating a unique spherically rotational reaction. The platform will react to changes in the operator's weight shifts and center of gravity placed upon it. When this novel multi-rational aspect of the platform responds to subtle changes in the operator's center of gravity, movement of the platform will occur. These changes trigger muscular contractions around the joints of the operator responding to the rotation of the platform while the tensioning mechanism allows for selective resistance to the free movement of the platform enabling selective exercise and therapy routines for various muscle groups. Additionally, the present Multi-Planar Rotational Platform and Suspension Device offers easy scalability and uniform or non-uniform scaling in the X-axis, the Y-axis and/or the Z-axis.

The linking device is connected the driving levers so as to lead the driving levers to be swung reciprocally and simultaneously. The resistance device is driven by one of the driving levers so as to generate a magnetic resistance.
