Exercise apparatus for performing a gluteal bridge movement
11130018 · 2021-09-28 · ·

The present disclosure provides an exercise apparatus designed to allow a user to perform a gluteal bridge, typically with resistance, to improve the strength of the user's posterior hip and gluteal muscles. The exercise apparatus is configurable for use in different environments—in a gym, fitness center or training facility, a spa or studio, or a home gym. The exercise apparatus includes a frame assembly, a bench assembly, and a resistance assembly. The bench assembly is pivotally connected to the frame assembly to provide an elevated pivot point about which the bench assembly pivots when the user performs the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly is operably connected to the bench assembly and provides a resistance force that the user overcomes in order to pivotally move the bench through the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly can include a cable, pulley and weight stack, or an elastically deformable band.

Stretching device to restore and protect against the negative effects of prolonged sitting

The device and methods disclosed herein allow an individual to create and sustain a differential stretch to the anterior muscles and ligaments of the torso, hips, and legs. The device includes a base frame, a vertical member secured to the base frame, a rotational lift lever secured to the vertical member at a vertical pivot member, a lower extremity elevation member secured to the rotational lift lever, and at least one lower extremity attachment device secured to the lower extremity elevation member. In methods of use, the device lifts an individual's legs off the ground, while the person is lying face down, to create a stretch in the anterior muscles, fascia, or ligaments. The device has various planes of rotation, which allows for differential stretching in the various quadrants of the person's torso. The device is height adjustable and displaceable along a track to accommodate different body types.

Three-dimensional rocking chair with variable curvature base for abdominal exercise
11097150 · 2021-08-24 ·

An omnidirectional rocking chair for abdominal exercise has a rectangular support base with a convex lower support surface with variable radii of curvature. The chair back supports only the user's lower back. Rocking the chair develops outward momentum in the mass of the user's upper back, arms and head. The minimum lower support surface radius of curvature is in its central portion and the center of that curvature is above the center of gravity of the seated user and chair. The peripheral portions of the lower support surface have larger radii of curvature. The corner portions of the lower support surface have maximum radii of curvature. The effect of progressive increase in support surface radius of curvature is to increase righting moment in the rocking motion where the respective larger radii portions contact the floor. This acts to decelerate outward rocking motion in the chair seat and user's lower back in opposition to the developed outward momentum in the mass of the user's upper back, arms, and head, which engages user abdominal trunk muscles.

Automatic salmon ladder training device

Automatic salmon ladder training devices are provided. An automatic salmon ladder training device may include a frame and a rotation assembly. The rotation assembly may include a plurality of rotation subassemblies. The plurality of rotation subassemblies may each include a chain rotatably engaged by the rotation subassembly, a rung fixedly connected to the chain, and a fixed rung fixedly connected to the frame. Each of the rotation subassemblies are configured to rotate in concert with one another. For example, a left rotation subassembly and a right rotation subassembly may be configured to rotate in concert with one another.

EXERCISE MACHINE WITH MOVABLE USER SUPPORT

An exercise machine with a two directional pivoting user support assembly has a user support or platform which supports the user and pivots about a first pivot axis during an exercise movement, and is also pivotable about at least one second pivot axis to involve the user's core muscles in balancing and maintaining the user support in a stable position. A manually operable locking device with a simple flip switch lever is provided for selectively locking the user support against rotation about the second pivot axis, so that the user can easily chose whether to perform the exercise with a stable support or to add a level of difficulty by using the unstable seat mode and exercising core muscles during the exercise.

Exercise accessories and system

An exercise accessory may be a component of a leg lift exercise system assembly. The exercise accessory may be useful for a user to hold themselves up by the arms to perform leg lifts, among other exercises. The accessory has an angular adjuster to allow a user to adjust the positioning of his or her forearms during the exercise. The angular adjuster has a cage which can attach to and suspend from an overhead bar, and an apertured base having radial tines. An indexer may be able to rotatably index to and rest within the radial tines. Rotating the indexer when tension is not applied to the system allows the user to adjust angular positioning. From the indexer and through the aperture an arm support is suspended.

ABDOMINAL EXERCISE DEVICE

An abdominal exercise device includes a frame comprising top, middle, and bottom frame sections. The middle frame section has a curved shape for creating a teeter-totter movement during exercise. The device includes a headrest connected to the bottom frame section, a plurality of connectors for connecting elastic bands to the frame, and an elastic band connected to at least two connectors. The two ends of the elastic band are connected to two straps. The device creates the teeter-totter movement to exercise the abdominal muscles in response to a person lying down in supine position with the back of the head on the headrest and the feet in the two straps, the person applying a downward pressure with the feet to the straps to move the headrest from a resting position, and the person removing the downward pressure to allow the headrest to go back to the resting position.

Plank exercise assistance apparatus
11110319 · 2021-09-07 ·

A plank exercise assistance apparatus including a body having a base and slidable coaster mounted underneath the base are disclosed herein. The body includes a receptacle adapted to receive a foot of a user therein. The body further includes a heel stop extending upwards from the body to help secure the foot of the user. Additionally, the body includes a leg support adapted to provide support to the leg of a user as they are using the plank exercise assistance apparatus. The user sets their foot into the receptacle and they are then free to exercise in a manner that is effective, efficient and safe. The user is then able to slide the apparatus with their foot therein to complete variations of the plank exercise. Thereby allowing a user to exercise their abdomen, backs, shoulder, arms and legs with the various exercises they complete.
