Implementations relate to adaptive display of image capacity for an image capture device. In some implementations, a computer-implemented method to display available image capacity for an image capture device includes determining local storage capacity of local storage accessible to the image capture device and determining whether secondary storage is accessible to the image capture device over a network. The method includes determining total storage capacity based at least in part on the determining whether the secondary storage is accessible. The method determines image capture settings of the image capture device, calculates the available image capacity based on the total storage capacity and the image capture settings, and causes the available image capacity to be displayed.

A disclosed managing apparatus and image forming apparatus management system ensure confidentiality of information in an image forming apparatus while usability is maintained. An image forming apparatus acquires IC card identifying information with an IC card reader. A management server acquires a user ID associated with the acquired IC card identifying information and use limit information concerning use of the image forming apparatus. A process is performed in the image forming apparatus in accordance with the use limit information.

The image recording apparatus according to the present invention is provided with a conversion device that converts an optical image of a subject to an electrical signal, a recording circuit that records the electrical signal achieved through the conversion device in a storage device as image data and a display control circuit that detects an available capacity at the storage device and the length of time that power supply by a source is possible and displays them on a display as available capacity information and remaining power supply time information. A wearable wireless image data relay device for positioning on a limb of a wearer may include a band configured to at least partially encircle the limb of the wearer; a storage mounted on the band and configured to store image data; and a transceiver mounted on the band and configured to detect wireless transmission of the image data from at least one camera, wirelessly receive the transmission of the image data from the at least one camera to enable storage of the image data within the storage, form a wireless coupling with a receiving device, and in response to formation of the wireless coupling and the storage of the image data within the storage, wirelessly transmit the image data from the storage to the receiving device.

The present disclosure relates to a an electronic device such as a digital camera 300 that includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment a digital camera keep track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, a deletion criteria is used to prioritize which images are deleted first.

An information processing apparatus includes a memory, an electronic file obtaining unit, an attribute information obtaining unit, and a display. The memory stores server information in which servers are associated with confidentiality information and charge information. The electronic file obtaining unit obtains an electronic file. The attribute information obtaining unit obtains attribute information including confidentiality information about the electronic file. An image forming apparatus includes a state management unit that shifts an authentication state from a non-login state to a login state, a storage unit that stores setting information, and a data management unit that, in a case where a free space of the storage unit is less than a threshold value, deletes the setting information stored in the storage unit at a timing of shifting from the non-login state to the login state and secure a free space greater than or equal to the threshold value in the storage unit.
