The present disclosure relates to a an electronic device such as a digital camera 300 that includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment a digital camera keep track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, a deletion criteria is used to prioritize which images are deleted first.

A wearable wireless image data relay device for positioning on a limb of a wearer may include a band configured to at least partially encircle the limb of the wearer; a storage mounted on the band and configured to store image data; and a transceiver mounted on the band and configured to detect wireless transmission of the image data from at least one camera, wirelessly receive the transmission of the image data from the at least one camera to enable storage of the image data within the storage, form a wireless coupling with a receiving device, and in response to formation of the wireless coupling and the storage of the image data within the storage, wirelessly transmit the image data from the storage to the receiving device.

Provided is a method and a system for reminding a remaining time for shooting in a shooting process. The method includes: acquiring, by a terminal, a remaining memory space and/or a remaining battery power of the terminal in a shooting process; determining, by the terminal, a first remaining time for shooting according to the acquired remaining battery power; and/or determining, by the terminal, a second remaining time for shooting of the terminal according to the acquired remaining memory space; and displaying, by the terminal, the first remaining time for shooting and/or the second remaining time for shooting, or displaying, by the terminal, the smaller one between the first remaining time for shooting and the second remaining time for shooting.

An image processing system includes a memory unit configured to store an address book to be used for setting a transmission destination of image data, a receiving unit configured to receive the image data, an acquisition unit configured to acquire a name that is registered in the address book in association with information of a transmission source of the image data received by the receiving unit, a setting unit configured to set a folder path for a plurality of hierarchies which includes a folder with the name acquired by the acquisition unit, and a storage unit configured to store the image data received by the receiving unit in a folder indicated by the folder path that is set by the setting unit.

A disclosed managing apparatus and image forming apparatus management system ensure confidentiality of information in an image forming apparatus while usability is maintained. An image forming apparatus acquires IC card identifying information with an IC card reader. A management server acquires a user ID associated with the acquired IC card identifying information and use limit information concerning use of the image forming apparatus. A process is performed in the image forming apparatus in accordance with the use limit information.

The image recording apparatus according to the present invention is provided with a conversion device that converts an optical image of a subject to an electrical signal, a recording circuit that records the electrical signal achieved through the conversion device in a storage device as image data and a display control circuit that detects an available capacity at the storage device and the length of time that power supply by a source is possible and displays them on a display as available capacity information and remaining power supply time information. The available capacity information indicates the length of available recording time remaining at the available capacity that has been detected.

An image capturing apparatus comprising an image capturing unit, a generating unit which generates RAW image data with an image obtained by the image capturing unit, wherein the generating unit sequentially generates RAW image data of a plurality of pictures in a continuous shooting mode, a storage unit temporarily storing the RAW image data, a first development unit performing development processing on the RAW image data, a recording unit recording, onto a recording medium, first image data obtained by the first development unit and the RAW image data and a control unit, in the continuous shooting mode, performing control so that the first development unit does not perform the development processing on the RAW image data if free storage space of the storage unit available for storing the RAW image data is smaller than a first threshold.

A disclosed managing apparatus and image forming apparatus management system ensure confidentiality of information in an image forming apparatus while usability is maintained. An image forming apparatus acquires IC card identifying information with an IC card reader. A management server acquires a user ID associated with the acquired IC card identifying information and use limit information concerning use of the image forming apparatus. A process is performed in the image forming apparatus in accordance with the use limit information.

An image forming apparatus includes a state management unit that shifts an authentication state from a non-login state to a login state, a storage unit that stores setting information, and a data management unit that, in a case where a free space of the storage unit is less than a threshold value, deletes the setting information stored in the storage unit at a timing of shifting from the non-login state to the login state and secure a free space greater than or equal to the threshold value in the storage unit.
