Image processing apparatus, activation control method and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium encoded with activation control program
An image processing apparatus includes a volatile first memory, a non-volatile second memory, a hardware processor, a power supply and a delay unit, wherein the hardware processor executes a process defined by a program, after execution of the program ends, deletes data stored in the second memory by execution of the program by overwriting the stored data with predetermined data, in response to the generation of the stop trigger, stores data, stored in the first memory, in the second memory as a snapshot, in response to generation of a start trigger, transfers the snapshot stored in the second memory to the first memory, and in the case where prospective deletion data that is to be deleted is stored in the second memory in a stage where the stop trigger is generated, overwrites the prospective deletion data with the snapshot without overwriting the prospective deletion data with the predetermined data.
Processing apparatus, storage medium, and control method
An information processing apparatus configured to detect an object from which an individual is identifiable from captured image data, store information from which the object is restorable in memory and transmit image data generated by omitting the information regarding the object to a server. The information processing apparatus also detects the existence of a wireless terminal and controls deletion of the information regarding the object based on a privacy level associated with the wireless terminal.
EXTRACTING SEARCHABLE INFORMATION FROM A DIGITIZED DOCUMENT
Data extraction and automatic validation from digitized documents in non-editable formats is disclosed. Paper documents are digitized or converted into formats suitable for storage on computers or other digital devices. The digitized documents are classified into one of a plurality of document types and based on the document type, document processing rules are selected for analyzing the digitized documents to enable data extraction and automatic validation. The positions and values of the data fields in the digitized documents are obtained using machine learning techniques. The data field values are automatically validated and assigned confidence scores. Data fields with low confidence scores are flagged for manual review.
Communication apparatus, control method thereof, storage medium, and communication system
A communication apparatus comprises: a communication unit configured to communicate with a recording apparatus having storage medium and capable of accepting an operation on the content data stored in the storage medium via communication; a registration unit configured to register a predetermined recording apparatus; and a control unit configured to perform control for receiving the content data stored in the storage medium, and to control predetermined processing for causing the recording apparatus to delete the content data stored in the storage medium, wherein the control unit, in a case where the recording apparatus is the predetermined recording apparatus registered by the registration unit, performs control so as to perform the predetermined processing for causing the content data stored in the storage medium to be deleted.
METHOD FOR DELETING DATA FILES IN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STORING SCANNED DOCUMENTS
A system and method for simplified scanning of tangible documents commences with scanning them into electronic documents on an MFP. The MFP controller generates a scan command indicia and commences a scan when it is selected by a user. A processor in the controller generates an electronic document file from the scan operation associatively with a scan folder file and generates scan folder file indicia on a display and electronic document indicia corresponding to each electronic document file in the scan folder. A user selects a document and specifies instructions for processing the document which is completed by the processor.
PRINT CONTROL APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND PRINT SYSTEM
A print control apparatus includes a memory, a print processing unit, and an erase processing unit. The memory stores one or more pieces of print data each representing print content and being subjected to a print process. The print processing unit performs the print process for a piece of print data stored in the memory, and generates a piece of post-process data that represents print content. The erase processing unit moves, to a trash or a deletion folder, a piece of data for which the print process has been performed among one or more pieces of data stored in the print processing unit, and performs an erase process for a storage area of the piece of data that has been moved, the erase process being a process of data overwriting and being performed in parallel with the print process that is performed for another piece of print data.
Image file management method, image capturing device, image storage device, and computer readable medium thereof
An image file management method is applied to an image storage device. A plurality of image files is stored in the image storage device. The image file management method includes setting a first score of each image file according to a file size of each image file, setting a second score of each image file according to a storage time of each image file, and performing selective deletion of each image file according to the first score and the second score of each image file.
Image processing device having erase control
An image processing device comprises an image data input means 2, an image data storage means 12 for storing the image data being input, an image data processing means 6 having multiple processing modes for outputting the stored image data, and a image data erasing means for erasing the image data stored in the storage means 12. The device further comprises erase count control means 8, 14 for controlling the number of times for erasing image data capable of having the number of times of erase set arbitrarily according to the security level required for each mode, and capable of having the set number of times of erase changed in mid-flow. Confidentiality is protected by performing erase operations repeatedly to the region storing the unnecessary image data according to the security level.
Display device, screen display method, recording medium, and image processing apparatus
A display device includes: a display; a base screen image storage that stores a base screen image; a resolution judgment portion that judges whether or not the display resolution is equal to a reference resolution; an image creator that creates a first image by enlarging or reducing the base screen image to the display resolution while sacrificing image quality for speed and creates a second image by enlarging or reducing the same to the display resolution while sacrificing speed for image quality; a second image storage that stores the second image; a display processor that causes the display to display the first or second image upon screen switch; and a screen judgment portion that judges which screen a screen displayed on the display is, a screen deserving or not deserving for a second image to be stored, with reference to reference information.
