Connector element information detections

A device receives an analog voltage signal over a single physical electrical connection. The analog voltage signal can be converted into a digital value which can then be correlated to (i) an indication of a connection state of the primary device, and (ii) information about another device (or set of devices) which is connected to the device.

Passive intermodulation testing using pulse stimulus

Disclosed is a passive intermodulation (PIM) test system having a pulsed signal generator configured to generate and apply a pulsed stimulus signal to a device under test. The PIM test system is further configured to measure a power of at least one PIM product generated by a PIM source in the device under test using the pulsed stimulus signal. Also disclosed in a method for evaluating PIM in a device under test, the method includes using a pulsed stimulus signal to measure a power of at least one PIM product generated by a PIM source in the device under test.

AUTOMATED ACCESSIBILITY TESTING

Apparatuses, methods, and non-transitory computer readable medium for accessibility testing are disclosed. Accessibility testing can include receiving input source data from one or more input sources which can include HTML files. The input source data is parsed, which includes determining a document object model for each of the one or more input sources. The one or more input sources that satisfy a violation criterion are determined, based on the parsing of the document object model for each of the one or more input sources. An accessibility report is generated and includes the one or more input sources that are determined to satisfy the violation criterion.

Vehicle dispatch method, vehicle dispatch system, and parking fee charging system including the same

A vehicle dispatch method is a method for dispatching vehicles by a server, each of the vehicles being configured to perform automated driving. The vehicle dispatch method includes first to fifth steps. The first step is a step of dispatching, the vehicle to a current location of a user. The second step is a step of dispatching, the vehicle with no driver on board to a destination of the user using positional information of the destination. The third step is a step of, when the vehicle arrives at the destination, parking the vehicle at a parking space. The fourth step is a step of, when it is detected that the vehicle with the user on board approaches the parking space, moving the vehicle from the parking space. The fifth step is a step of parking the vehicle at the parking space where the vehicle has been parked.

Apparatus and method for digitally characterizing communication channel noise and interference

A wireless receiver and method of wireless communication determines levels of noise, including interference, in communication channels without need of calibration. A digital test signal is digitally added to digitized noise, and a signal-to-noise-and-interference (SNIR) value is determined from a resulting bit error rate and/or message error rate. The level of noise is then determined from the SNIR. The amplitude of the digital test signal is adjusted to cause the SNIR to be sensitive to the noise level, which can require an SNIR between 1 dB and 10 dB. The system can include a digital test signal generator, or the digital test signal can be stored in a memory. The system can further include a channelizer, demodulator, data correlator, decryptor, and message assembler. Noise and interference level determinations can be used to select an optimal communication channel, and to adjust a transmission power and/or rate to suitable values.

System and method for over-the-air (OTA) testing to detect faulty elements in an active array antenna of an extremely high frequency (EHF) wireless communication device

Systems and methods for detecting faulty elements in an active planar antenna array of an extremely high frequency (EHF) wireless communication device. A planar antenna array having a matrix of dual-polarization modulated scattering probes is disposed within a near-field region of the antenna under test (AUT). Electromagnetic energy received from the AUT is converted to a complex electrical signal that is modulated by an electrical modulation signal and radiated as a scattering signal. The resulting electromagnetic scattering signal, received and converted to an electrical signal by another antenna, is used in a holographic image reconstruction operation via a backward-propagation transformation to reconstruct the signal spectrum radiated from the surface of the AUT. A comparison of this reconstructed signal spectrum with a reference signal spectrum radiated from the surface of a known good antenna array enables detection of faulty antenna elements within the AUT.

Communication system

A communication system is described in which an MBMS service is provided by unicast or broadcast/multicast communication in dependence on whether the number of mobile communication devices indicating an interest in receiving the service is below or above a broadcast threshold. An improved procedure for counting the number of mobile communication devices interested in receiving the MBMS service is also disclosed.

Predictive network testing

The invention relates to a method and apparatus for evaluating a network and for predicting network performance for a higher order modulation by analyzing network signals modulated using a lower order modulation format. A margin index may be generated for the current or projected modulation formats based on displacement vectors for received symbols to indicate a margin remaining before a codeword error occurs to alert the network operator of potential performance issues before actual codeword errors occur.

10374782 · 2019-08-06 · ·

A system for a backplane serializer/deserializer (SerDes) including first and second integrated circuits (IC). The first and second ICs include transmitters and receivers coupled to each other through first and second bidirectional links. A first receiver is configured to receive first data at a data rate on a first channel supported by both the first bidirectional link and the second bidirectional link. A second receiver is configured to receive second data at the data rate on a second channel supported by both the first bidirectional link and the second bidirectional link. The backplane SerDes is configured to transfer the first and second data in full duplex mode by employing two-bit pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM-4) to reduce signaling speed of the first and second bidirectional links without reducing throughput of a lane pair including the first and second channels.
