A stationary bike has a main frame. The main frame has a base that is configured to be laid on the ground. The base has its end surface facing the ground provided with a plurality of elastic feet that are arranged symmetrically with intervals therebetween for pressing on the ground. The elastic foot is made of a soft, elastic material and contains therein an inner space defined by a circular wall. When the elastic foot receives an external force from the base, the circular wall of the elastic foot deform correspondingly, thereby allowing the main frame to jolt and simulate road-riding experience.

A user mountable stationary exercise device comprising, a base and a frame pivotally supported by the base such that the frame can pivot relative to the base about a pivot axis. The device also comprises a user actuated pedal arrangement supported by the frame and operatively connected to drive a wheel. In use, a user may mount the frame and apply force to the pedal arrangement to drive the wheel, and/or the frame to cause the frame to pivot relative to the base about the pivot axis.

An apparatus permitting a user to perform a simulated bicycling exercise is provided. The design includes a frame having a head tube, wherein the frame maintains a set of pedals, a first upper rear mounting point and a second lower front mounting point configured to maintain the frame, a seat connected to the frame configured to support the user, and a stem connected to a handlebar arrangement, passing through the head tube, and connected to a base by a connection arrangement. The frame is configured to pivot about the first upper rear mounting point and second lower front mounting point in response to leaning by the user causing movement of the connection arrangement and rotation of the stem. The connection arrangement is adjustable to vary amount of rotation of the stem within the head tube in response to leaning by the user.

A self-compensating tire compression device is provided for use with a trainer. The device attaches to a frame, such as a bicycle, that holds the axis of a driving wheel fixed. The device has a pivoting portion that presses a driven portion of a resistance device against the driving wheel. The pivoting point of the pivoting portion is located on the trainer to provide a static contact pressure between the driving wheel and the driven wheel, and when the driving wheel begins to rotate and the resistance device begins to resist the rotation, the contact pressure between the driving wheel and the driven wheel increases to prevent slippage between the two wheels.

A muscle activity amount determining device includes a shape obtainer that obtains a shape of a muscle of a user when the user is doing certain exercise; a position identifying unit that identifies a position of the muscle of the user when the user is doing the exercise; a determination circuit that refers to a determination reference that indicates a corresponding relationship between the position and shape of the muscle and an activity amount of the muscle, and determines the activity amount of the muscle using the position of the muscle identified by the position identifying unit and the shape of the muscle obtained by the shape obtainer; and an outputter that outputs the activity amount, determined by the determination circuit.

An exercise and rehabilitation apparatus for exercising the extremity of a user wherein the position of the lever is adjustable. The apparatus includes a flywheel having a first side and a second side with a channel in the flywheel first side. The channel has a top edge near the planer surface of the flywheel first side. A lever, such as a pedal or handle, is combined with an adjustment member. The adjustment member is movable within the channel between a first position and a second position, however, the adjustment member cannot be removed from the channel through the slot/opening along its top edge. A locking pin is combined with the adjustment member and movable between an extended position and a retracted position, the locking pin is biased in its extended position. The flywheel includes a plurality of openings adapted to receive the locking pin when the locking pin is in its extended/locked position to secure the adjustment member at a particular location within the channel.

An exercise apparatus having a cabinet housing to which a telescopically and angularly moveable arm is mounted. A hand pedal assembly is mounted to the arm and drivingly linked to a resistance mechanism. A platform is telescopically mounted to the bottom of the cabinet, and a foot pedal assembly is adjustably mounted to the platform. A seat is mounted to the far end of the platform from the cabinet, and the platform can be moved so the seat, the foot pedal assembly, or at least portions of both, can be inserted into a chamber of the cabinet.
