BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION SYSTEM
A BFRT cuff and portable electric pump system and a method for exercising using said cuff. The method incudes providing a BFRT cuff and a portable electric pump system, placing the BFRT cuff on a limb of a user, connecting the BFRT cuff to the portable electric pump system, selecting a pressure value or percent of limb occlusion pressure (LOP), causing the portable electric pump system to supply air to the BFRT cuff until the LOP of said limb is obtained, terminating air flow to the BFRT cuff and then reducing the pressure in the BFRT cuff, disconnecting the BFRT cuff from the portable electric pump system, and exercising the limb of the user while the BFRT cuff is at a selected pressure or a selected percent of LOP.
DYNAMIC PROPRIOCEPTION
A wearable device such as a garment is disclosed, having at least one sensor, for sensing a parameter. Electronics are provided for processing the sensed parameter, and for providing feedback. Feedback may be in the form of proprioceptive tactile or audible feedback, or in the form of an adjustment of a performance parameter of the wearable device. In one implementation, the processor is configured to activate an effector to provide feedback to the wearer to make a body position correction to bring the position into alignment with predetermined body position reference data.
DEVICE FOR LOWER EXTREMITY MUSCLE FORCE MEASUREMENT IN ISOKINETIC MOVEMENT CONDITIONS AND PROCEDURE FOR THE MEASUREMENT CARRIED OUT ON THE DEVICE
The device for lower extremity muscle force measurement in isokinetic movement conditions consists of a supporting surface (3) for knees, angular position sensor (4) equipped with an arm (5), stand with dynamometers (2) and a control unit equipped with an imaging device and containing firmware to measure, record and evaluate data from the angular position sensor (4) and dynamometers (2) connected to it. Procedure for the measurement carried out on the device is defined by the forward angular motion of the measured person kneeling on the supporting surface (3), thus producing pressure on the arm (5) that is pushed in the direction and speed of the measured person's motion, wherein the control unit (6) evaluates the change in angular position of the arm (5) and indicates the current and required speed of change in angular position on the imaging device to maintain the isokinetic movement.
Stretching devices
A device for stretching either the quadriceps or hamstring muscles of an individual's legs while the individual is in a standing position. The device includes a frame assembly and a rotational mount connected thereto. A stretching member is rotationally mounted on the rotational mount intermediate its ends to provide a first section extending on one side of the rotational mount and a second section extending on a second side of the rotational mount. The stretching member includes a foot support adjacent a distal end of the first section spaced from the rotational mount and a gripping member adjacent a distal end of the second section spaced from the rotational mount. The gripping member is engageable by an individual in a standing position to apply a rotational force to the stretching member with the individual's foot on the foot support to stretch either the quadriceps or hamstring muscles of the individual's legs.
Weight training apparatus
A weight training apparatus using hydraulics or pneumatics for applying positive and negative resistance closer to a user's maximum capacity throughout a lift is provided. The weight training apparatus allows for weight training without weights. The weight training apparatus may provide a more effective and safer mechanism for training than conventional techniques.
Knee renew
A knee traction/decompression system used for the treatment of knee disorders by effectively applying a desired traction/decompression force to relieve pain, stimulate healing by opening pathways to the knee articulation while maintaining the basic comfort of the patient The system employs a rotational separation of the associated bones of the knee joint via a fulcrum that is positioned between two side rails. The side rails are connected by the end rails which create a stationary platform. An adjustable retracting device containing a cord attached to a strap placed and secured around the foot which is then manually moved relative to the platform. The knee is placed over the fulcrum and the retracting device is pulled in a direction as to allow a traction/decompression force on the knee articulation. The fulcrum action separates the knee articulation by applying a pulling force to the foot harness relative to the platform creating a long lever.
DUAL FUNCTION EXERCISE MACHINES WITH BI-DIRECTIONAL RESISTANCE
Exercise machines for performing exercises that are resisted in the push and pull directions, the machines having at least one user support, at least one user engagement actuator, and a one directional flywheel operatively connected to a braking mechanism for providing resistance to the push and pull exercises. A drive system operatively connects the at least one user engagement actuator to the one directional flywheel, the drive system can be configured such that more or less force is required to move the at least one user engagement actuator in the push direction than to move the at least one user engagement actuator in the pull direction. The resistance of the push direction can be less than, greater than, or equal to the resistance of the pull direction. Resistance to the motion of the at least one user engagement actuator can be adjusted prior to or during operation of the machine.
EQUIPMENT DATA PROVIDING SYSTEM
A walking training apparatus according to related art has a problem that a state of walking training undergone outside a medical service provider cannot be acquired. An equipment data providing system according to the present disclosure includes a database configured to manage sensor data measured by a sensor of equipment from a wearer for walking training, adjustment information indicating an adjustment state of the equipment, and the equipment or the wearer in association with each other, and a transmission information management unit configured to transmit information managed in the database in response to an inquiry request from outside to an inquirer who makes the inquiry request.
Personalizable modular fitness area
Disclosed is a reversibly installable modular fitness area including a plurality of modules, variously assemblage due to common stable and reversible connection system, which when joined together give rise to stage-like structures, each of which including one or more equipment pieces for carrying out fitness exercises. Especially opposite support modules have slingshot arm shape, and each of the stages is equipped with a display illustrating how to perform the exercise.
Hybrid resistance system
A resistance system, which can be suitable for incorporation in exercise equipment, is a hybrid resistance assembly having at least a first and a second resistance unit. The first resistance unit can be of a first type and the second resistance unit can be of a second type. The first resistance unit can be an inertial resistance unit, which incorporates an inertial load that creates resistance influenced by the inertia of a movable mass, such as a rotatable flywheel. The second resistance unit can be a static or non-inertial resistance unit, such as a displacement resistance unit, which incorporates a load that creates resistance influenced by displacement (e.g., linear or rotational displacement) of an input to the displacement resistance unit.
