KNEE AND JOINT REHABILITATION EXERCISE DEVICE
A knee rehabilitative device permits a user to provide resistive stretching caused when the leg or other joint is extended or straightened, facilitating exercise and strengthening of the user's muscles and improved flexibility in the area of the knee or other joint area.
TONING GARMENT WITH MODULAR RESISTANCE UNIT DOCKING PLATFORMS
Disclosed is a technical training garment configured for use with modular, interchangeable electronics and resistance modules. The garment provides resistance to movement throughout an angular range of motion and tracks biomechanical parameters such as stride length, stride rate, angular velocity and incremental power expended by the wearer. The garment may be low profile, and worn by a wearer as a primary garment or beneath or over conventional clothing. Alternatively, the device may be worn as a supplemental training tool during conventional training protocols.
EXERCISE DEVICE
The exercise device of the present invention has a first assembly with a first strap configured to encircle a user's first bodily appendage, such as a thigh or a foot, with the first strap having a first attachment ring. The exercise device also has a second assembly with a second strap configured to encircle a user's second bodily appendage, such as a foot, with the second strap having a plurality of second attachment rings. The exercise device also has one or more elastic resistance bands configured for connecting at one end to the first attachment ring and at an opposite second end to one of the plurality of second attachment rings. Exercises with the device have the user moving between starting positions and finishing positions against the resistance of the bands.
Systems and methods for facilitating rehabilitation and exercise
In one embodiment, an exercise system includes a user interface device sized and configured to fit within a user's hand, the user interface device including a microcontroller configured to control operation of the device, a first sensor configured to sense movements of the device, a second sensor configured to sense forces applied to the device, and a communication device configured to communicate data concerning the sensed movements and forces to a separate device.
Stretching devices
A device for stretching either the quadriceps or hamstring muscles of an individual's legs while the individual is in a standing position. The device includes a frame assembly and a rotational mount connected thereto. A stretching member is rotationally mounted on the rotational mount intermediate its ends to provide a first section extending on one side of the rotational mount and a second section extending on a second side of the rotational mount. The stretching member includes a foot support adjacent a distal end of the first section spaced from the rotational mount and a gripping member adjacent a distal end of the second section spaced from the rotational mount. The gripping member is engageable by an individual in a standing position to apply a rotational force to the stretching member with the individual's foot on the foot support to stretch either the quadriceps or hamstring muscles of the individual's legs.
WEIGHT TRAINING APPARATUS
A weight training apparatus using hydraulics or pneumatics for applying positive and negative resistance closer to a user's maximum capacity throughout a lift is provided. The apparatus allows for weight training without weights. The apparatus may provide a more effective and safer mechanism for training than conventional techniques. An aerobic apparatus using hydraulics or pneumatics for a more realistic feel is also provided. Methods of using the devices are also provided.
Exercise apparatus and method
A weighted hip and lower back exerciser, for use in isolating and working out a targeted portion of the lower back or gluteal muscles through weighted internal and external rotation, that includes a framework, a upper body support section, a weight system, a the weighted leg pivot section. A user secures one of his/her legs onto a leg pad and pivots the leg pad by rotating his/her hip and lower back. The leg pad is connected to weights by a band passing through a pair of pulleys and a pulley cord guide. When the user swivels the leg rest, the user tenses the band thus lifting the weights, and resistance is generated. The user will isolate the rotational movement to the hip and lower back by leaning onto a chest support and resting his/her arms on an arm support mounted on a vertical rack above the weight assembly.
Motion assistance apparatus
A motion assistance apparatus including a first frame, a connection frame connected to the first frame, the connection frame configured to rotate relative to the first frame, a second frame connected to the connection frame, the second frame configured to rotate relative to the connection frame, and a power transmission member configured to change, based on a first angle between the first frame and the connection frame, a second angle between the connection frame and the second frame.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPUTERIZED ISOKINETIC STRENGTH TRAINING AND REHABILITATION SYSTEM
Presented is an Isokinetic exercise system having a base, a pedestal, a vertical member, a height adjustable vertical column for resting a rotary actuator on top, a resistance control valve unit with rotatable dials connected to the actuator, wherein the rotatable dials are selectively used to rotatably set a range of resistances for opposing movements to accommodate varying exerted forces by a user performing an intended exercise. The system further includes an electronics module to detect angle and pressure related data (as a measure of voltages) associated with the actuator, an A to D converter to convert the detected voltages in a digital form, a display unit embodying a program product for receiving, and processing the detected voltages to generate and display a muscular performance assessment report, store the received voltages for future comparison and enable printing the muscular performance assessment report, enable configuring next intended exercise.
Joint stabilizing orthopedic device
An orthopedic device configured to provide support and/or resistance to a joint. The orthopedic device is adjustable and lightweight and configured to permit a substantial full range of motion of the joint. The orthopedic device can comprise a torso portion, an upper arm portion, and a support system, wherein at least the support system is adapted to mimic part of the muscular system structure and function of the muscles that are used during the range of motion of the joint.
