DETERMINING MENTAL STATES BASED ON BIOMETRIC DATA

Various embodiments of an apparatus, methods, systems and computer program products described herein are directed to an Analytics Engine that receives one more signal files that include neural signal data of a user based on voltages detected by one or more electrodes on a set of headphones worn by a user. The Analytics Engine preprocesses the data, extracts features from the received data, and feeds the extracted features into one or more machine learning models to generate determined output that corresponds to at least one of a current mental state of the user and a type of facial gesture performed by the user. The Analytics Engine sends the determined output to a computing device to perform an action based on the determined output.

Automatic volume control for combined game and chat audio

A system comprising audio processing circuitry is provided. The audio processing circuitry is operable to receive audio signals. The audio processing circuitry is operable to process the audio signals to detect strength of a chat component of the audio signals and strength of a game component of the audio signals. The audio processing circuitry is operable to automatically control a volume setting based on one or both of: the detected strength of the chat component, and the detected strength of the game component. The combined-game-and-chat audio signals may comprise a left channel signal and a right channel signal. The processing of the combined-game-and-chat audio signals may comprise measuring strength of a vocal-band signal component that is common to the left channel signal and the right channel signal.

User identification using headphones

Systems and processes for user identification using headphones associated with a first device are provided. For example, first movement information corresponding to movement of a second electronic device is detected. Second movement information corresponding to movement of a third electronic device is detected. A similarity score is determined based on the first movement information and the second movement information. In accordance with a determination that the similarity score is above a threshold similarity score, a user is identified as an authorized user of the first electronic device and the second electronic device. Based on the identification, an output is provided to the second electronic device.

The systems and methods described relate to the concept that smart devices can be used to: sense various types of phenomena like sound, blue light exposure, RF and microwave radiation, and, in real-time, analyze, report and/or control outputs (e.g., displays or speakers). The systems are configurable and use standard computing devices, such as wearable electronics (e.g., smart glasses), tablet computers, and mobile phones to measure various frequency bands across multiple points, allowing a single user to visualize and/or adjust environmental conditions.

Adaptive multi-band hearing device
11546705 · 2023-01-03 · ·

A hearing device configured for audio communication is disclosed. The hearing device comprises a wireless communication unit and a processing unit, the wireless communication unit being configured to receive and transmit audio signals. The processing unit is configured to receive and/or transmit the audio signal from/to the wireless communication unit, process the audio signal in a first frequency band or in a second frequency band, and detect the quality of the audio communication. If the audio signal is processed in the first frequency band, the processing unit is switching to processing in the second frequency band if the quality of the audio communication is below a first predetermined threshold. If the audio signal is processed in the second frequency band, the processing unit is switching to processing in the first frequency band if the quality of the audio communication is above the first predetermined threshold.

AUDIO DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WIRELESS EARPHONE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM AND TERMINAL
20220418021 · 2022-12-29 ·

An audio data transmission method and apparatus for a wireless earphone, and a storage medium and a terminal are provided. A play mode adopted by the wireless earphone includes a first play mode and a second play mode, and the method includes: determining whether the first play mode currently adopted by the wireless earphone satisfies a transmission bandwidth required by to-be-played audio data at least based on parameter information of the to-be-played audio data; and based on the first play mode not satisfying the transmission bandwidth required by the to-be-played audio data, transmitting the to-be-played audio data through a connection channel corresponding to the second play mode.

BLUETOOTH EARPHONE

A Bluetooth earphone includes an antenna and a circuit board. The circuit board includes a first grounding branch and a second grounding branch. The first grounding branch is connected in series to a first switch, and the second grounding branch is connected in series to a second switch. When the first switch is on, the first grounding branch serves as a current return path of the antenna. When the second switch is on, the second grounding branch serves as a current return path of the antenna. By controlling the on or off state of the first switch and the second switch, the Bluetooth earphone can switch ground structures of the antenna and select different current return paths for the antenna, to switch radiation patterns of the antenna.
