20230099026 · 2023-03-30 ·

The present disclosure provides a bone conduction-based clamping device and processing method. The device includes a handle, a clamping structure provided on one side of the handle, and a sound generating processor provided inside the handle. A user puts food into his mouth cavity by clamping the food with the clamping structure, and a vibration signal generated by the sound generating processor is transmitted to the food by the clamping structure and then transmitted to the user’s auditory system by an oral tissue or teeth of the user, thereby avoiding the pressing feeling caused by wearing in a pressing manner. Putting the clamping structure into the user’s mouth cavity can also reduce sound leakage, improve sound quality and protect privacy. In addition, the food can be replaced by the clamping structure, thereby guaranteeing hygiene and health, improving the usage rate of the device, and realizing multi-user sharing.

A method performed by an electronic hearing device with an earpiece configured to be worn in an ear, includes: engaging a hearing mode wherein a compensated output signal is based on current hearing compensation data. Performing a first fitting procedure including: obtaining first hearing compensation data via audiometric measurements; emitting an otoacoustic stimulation signal and capturing an acoustic signal including otoacoustic emissions. In response to receiving a first input signal, performing a first monitoring procedure including: emitting an otoacoustic stimulation signal and capturing an acoustic signal including otoacoustic emissions, if any. Determining a deviation value based on the second acoustic signal and the third acoustic signal; and determining whether the deviation value satisfies a first criterion. In accordance with a determination that the deviation value satisfies the first criterion, communicating a first notification signal indicative of the deviation from the hearing device.

RF ANTENNA AND HEARING DEVICE WITH RF ANTENNA

The present disclosure relates to a hearing aid with an RF antenna arranged within the hearing aid's housing, and a loudspeaker positioned in the ear canal of the user. The RF antenna is configured to receive and/or transmit electromagnetic RF signals within a first frequency range enclosing a first frequency of resonance of the RF antenna corresponding to a first wavelength. The hearing aid further comprises one or more electric leads electrically connected to lead one or more electric signals within a second frequency range not overlapping the first frequency range between the loudspeaker in the ear canal of the user and an electronic circuit in the housing, with the one or more electrical leads being decoupled, at a connector end of the one or more electrical leads, by means of one or more decoupling components.

CONTACT HEARING SYSTEMS, APPARATUS AND METHODS

The present invention is directed to a hearing aid which includes a lateral ear canal assembly and a medial ear canal assembly. In embodiments of the invention the medial ear canal assembly may include smart circuitry adapted to control parameters and outputs of the medial ear canal assembly. In embodiments of the invention various methods and circuitry are described, wherein the methods and circuitry are adapted to improve the performance and efficiency of the hearing aid.

DYNAMIC STIMULUS RESOLUTION ADAPTION
20230083125 · 2023-03-16 ·

Presented herein are techniques that use acoustic scene (environmental) analysis to determine the sound class of sound signals received at a hearing prosthesis and, accordingly, assess the estimated listening difficulty that the acoustic environment presents to a recipient of the hearing prosthesis. This difficulty of the recipient's listening situation can be used to adjust, adapt, or otherwise set the resolution of the electrical stimulation signals delivered to the recipient to evoke perception of the sound signals. In other words, the resolution of the electrical stimulation signals is dynamically adapted based on the present acoustic environment of the hearing prosthesis.

User interfaces of a hearing device

Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and devices for dynamically adjusting a user interface provided by an external unit of a hearing device. In an example method, the external unit determines whether a state of the external unit is one of (i) a coupled state when the external unit and the stimulation unit are coupled or (ii) a decoupled state when the external and the stimulation unit are decoupled. The external unit then provides one of (i) a first user interface when the determined state is the coupled state or (ii) a second user interface when the determined state is the decoupled state.
