The speaker unit further comprises a speaker unit body configured to be positioned at least partly in an ear canal of the wearer and comprising an output transducer unit configured to provide an acoustic signal based on an electrical signal input to said output transducer unit via said at least one contact element. The speaker unit further comprises a connecting unit provided between said speaker unit body and said contacting unit and including at least one wire configured to electrically connect said speaker unit body and said contacting unit. Further, the speaker unit comprises a memory unit configured to store data relating to said speaker unit.
Hearing system comprising a hearing aid and a processing device
A hearing aid system configured to compensate for a hearing impairment of a use comprises A) a wearable device adapted for being worn by the user and comprising a1) an input stage comprising at least one input transducer for converting sound around the user to at least one electric input signal representing said sound, and a2) an input stage for providing stimuli representative of a processed version of said least one electric input signal to said user, said stimuli being perceivable by said user as sound; and B) a non-wearable device comprising b1) a processor, and b2) a power supply interface for providing power to the processor. The wearable device and the non-wearable device comprise respective transceiver circuitry for establishing a low latency wireless audio communication link between them. The processor of the non-wearable device comprises an audio processor configured to process said at least one electric input signal, or a signal originating therefrom, to at least partially compensate for the hearing impairment of the user and to provide said processed version thereof. The power supply interface of the non-wearable device is electrically connected to an electricity network. Thereby an improved processing power of a hearing aid may be provided. The invention may e.g. be used in flexible hearing aid systems with a situation-dependent configurable processing power.
PROGRAMMING OF COCHLEAR IMPLANT ACCESSORIES
Pairing systems for pairing external devices to a cochlear implant system can comprise an external housing and an external pairing system. The external housing may comprise a first surface and one or more compartments, each configured to house an external device capable of wirelessly interfacing with an implantable cochlear implant system. The external pairing device may comprise a second surface and one or more corresponding near field communication devices. The near field communication devices may be arranged such that the first surface of the external housing can be aligned with the second surface of the external pairing device in such a way that each of the near field communication devices aligns with a corresponding compartment of the external housing. The external pairing device can provide communication between a programming device and external devices contained within compartments of the external housing via one or more corresponding near field communication devices.
