PROSTHESIS ADAPTER
A prosthesis including an abutment, an operationally removable component including a coupling apparatus, and an adapter, wherein the abutment is connected to the adapter and the coupling apparatus of the operationally removable component is releasably coupled to the adapter.
HEARING AID EAR TIP HAVING SAFETY CONNECTOR
An ear tip assembly is used with a hearing aid thin tube or with a receiver wire attached to an in-the-canal receiver. The ear tip assembly includes an ear tip and safety connector. The ear tip can be removably seated on the thin tube connector or to a post on the in-the-canal receiver. The safety connector prevents the ear tip from remaining lodged in the ear canal if the ear tip detaches from the thin tube connector or the receiver. The safety connector includes a lanyard and a loop. One end of the lanyard is secured to the ear tip and the other end is secured to the loop. The loop receives the thin tube or the receiver wire so as to prevent detachment of the safety connector from the thin tube or the receiver wire when the thin tube or the receiver wire is pulled from the ear canal.
Hearing prosthesis system having interchangeable housings
A system, including a first housing containing a speech processor that receives signals output by a microphone of the hearing prosthesis, a second housing removably connectable to the first housing at a bottom of the first housing, the bottom being at a first end of the first housing that is a wider end relative to a second end of the first housing opposite the first end and a first device removably connectable to the first housing when the second housing is disconnected from the first housing, wherein the first housing is part of a behind-the-ear (BTE) device, the second housing is part of a second device, and the system is a cochlear implant hearing prosthesis system.
HEARING DEVICE INCLUDING A SENSOR AND A METHOD OF FORMING SAME
Various embodiments of a hearing device and a method of forming such device are disclosed. The device includes a housing adapted to be worn on or behind an ear of a wearer and includes a housing body and a top plate connected to the housing body. The hearing device further includes a sensor disposed on at least one of a first side surface and a second side surface of the housing body. The sensor is adapted to be in contact with either a pinna or a skull of the wearer. The sensor is further adapted to detect a physiological characteristic of the wearer and generate a sensor signal based on the physiological characteristic.

Hearing instruments with receiver posterior to battery
As described in some examples of this disclosure, a Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing instrument comprises processing circuity, a battery that stores energy for use by the processing circuitry, and a housing that contains a receiver configured to output sound. The receiver is positioned within the hearing instrument posterior to the processing circuitry and the power source.
Implantable cochlear system with inner ear sensor
Cochlear implant systems can include an inner ear sensor configured to receive a stimulus signal from the cochlear tissue of a wearer and generate an input signal based on the received stimulus signal. The inner ear sensor can be configured to detect pressure, for example, within a wearer's cochlear tissue and generate an input signal based on the detected pressure. The inner ear sensor can be integrated with a cochlear electrode implanted in the cochlear tissue. Systems can include a signal processor programmed with a transfer function and configured to receive an input signal and output a stimulation signal based on the received input signal and transfer function. Systems can include an implantable battery and/or communication module in communication with the signal processor. The implantable battery and/or communication module can be configured to interface with and update the transfer function of the signal processor.
CROS UNIT FOR A CROS HEARING DEVICE SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a contralateral routing of signal (CROS) unit for a contralateral routing of signal (CROS) hearing device system. The CROS unit is configured to detachably connect to a first behind-the-ear (BTE) unit. The CROS unit comprises a CROS identity label and a first electronic circuit. The first electronic circuit is configured to communicate the CROS identity label to the first BTE unit.
Hearing Aid Charging Case
Implemented is a hearing aid charging case that can charge hearing aids without a user having to toggle or figure out any small buttons or switches. The charging case utilizes wireless charging technology and an internal power bank, which provides the electrical current from which the power bank charges the hearing aids. The charging case comes with a protective layer inside of the upper case that provides delicate support to the hearing aids when charging. The hearing aids rest on charging pads positioned inside the lower case to receive a charge from the power bank. Each charging pad is connected to a respective indicator light informing the user of each hearing aid's charging status, such as fully charged or still charging. An outer indicator light positioned on the outside of the charging case can inform the user of the charge state of the power bank.
Acoustic output device with antenna
A hearing device is provided. The hearing device comprises a first portion configured to be arranged at a head of a user and to provide a signal to a second portion.
