Suspension assembly for hearing aid receiver
A suspension assembly for a hearing aid receiver is described in which the receiver is contained within a receiver can. A cover assembly may be provided for covering the open top end of the receiver can and for containing the receiver's spout when the receiver is mounted within the receiver can. To dampen or reduce the transmission of receiver vibrations within the receiver can, a spout seal and corner bumpers may also be provided.
Hearing device including a sensor and a method of forming same
Various embodiments of a hearing device and a method of forming such device are disclosed. The device includes a housing adapted to be worn on or behind an ear of a wearer and includes a housing body and a top plate connected to the housing body. The hearing device further includes a sensor disposed on at least one of a first side surface and a second side surface of the housing body. The sensor is adapted to be in contact with either a pinna or a skull of the wearer. The sensor is further adapted to detect a physiological characteristic of the wearer and generate a sensor signal based on the physiological characteristic.
MEDICAL DEVICE
A medical device includes: an implantable unit configured to be at least partly implanted in the body of a user; a transformer core configured to be arranged at least partly under the skin of the user; and an internal cabling configured to connect the implantable unit to the transformer core. The internal cabling includes a first winding around the transformer core; and an external unit configured to be at least partly arranged outside the body of the user, the external unit including: a power supply circuity and a connector coupled to the power supply circuity configured to supply power from the power supply circuity to the implantable unit via the transformer core. The connector includes a first connector part and a second connector part.
MODULAR CONNECTION ASSEMBLY FOR A HEARING ASSISTANCE DEVICE
The present subject matter relates to an improved connection assembly for hearing assistance devices. The improved connection assembly provides a connection system that is reliable, straightforward to manufacture, and easy to use. The present connection assembly provides a rapid replacement option for the cable and/or the receiver or other electronics connected to the cable. The present subject matter provides for a connection assembly that can be extended to provide connections for a variety of applications which are not limited to a speaker (receiver) in the ear. Sensors and new configurations of component placement are supported using the present assembly, including, but not limited to telecoils, and GMR or TMR sensors. Various electromagnetic interference issues are addressed. In some examples a shielded set of wires are included. In some examples a twisted pair of wires is included. Various combinations of wires for different applications are supported with the present connector system.
Contralateral sound capture with respect to stimulation energy source
A hearing prosthesis system, including a sound capture device configured to capture a sound and generate a signal based on the captured sound, and a vibratory portion configured to vibrate in response to the signal to evoke a hearing percept via bone conduction, wherein the system is configured to capture the sound on a first side of a recipient where the sound capture device is located and transfer the signal to a second side of the recipient where the vibratory portion is located.
SOUND OUTPUT DEVICE AND ATTACHMENT AID MEMBER
A sound output device includes: a device main frame in which at least a speaker is disposed; and an attachment aid member that is joined to the device main frame. In the sound output device, the attachment aid member includes an annular support portion at least a part of which is inserted into a cavum concha, and the support portion includes a contact portion that comes into contact with a part of an ear in the cavum concha while being elastically deformed. With this arrangement, the contact portion of the support portion inserted into the cavum concha comes into contact with a part of the ear in the cavum concha while being elastically deformed. Accordingly, it is possible to attach the sound output device to the ear, using the attachment aid member, regardless of the size and the shape of the ear. Thus, user-friendliness of the sound output device can be increased, and a state in which the sound output device is stably attached to the ear can be secured.
Ear Level Part for a Hearing Device
An ear level part for a hearing device may include a body containing at least two microphones acoustically connected to at least two microphone openings, the at least two microphone openings arranged in a microphone line, the body further comprising a flange, wherein a receiver is arranged within the body, wherein the flange has a sound exit for the receiver; and an upper tab generally protruding in a lateral direction from the body and configured to be positioned above the tragus of a user's ear and a lower tab generally protruding in a lateral direction from the body and configured to be positioned beneath the tragus of the user's ear thereby aligning the ear level part.
AUDITORY DEVICE CABLE ARRANGEMENT
An auditory device includes an electronics module, a receiver and a cable connecting the electronics module to the receiver. The electronics module includes an enclosure shaped to be positioned behind an outer portion of either a left ear or a right ear of a user and circuitry within the enclosure. The receiver is configured for being located in either a left or a right ear canal of the user. When inserted into the left ear canal, the receiver occupies a left ear canal insertion position, and when inserted into the right ear canal, the receiver occupies a right ear canal insertion position. The cable and the receiver are shaped and configured such that the receiver is presented in a neutral position when no external force other than gravity is acting upon the receiver, the neutral position being between the left ear canal insertion position and the right ear canal insertion position.
ASSEMBLY FOR HEARING AID
An assembly for a hearing aid is disclosed. The hearing aid with the assembly includes an in the ear part and a behind the ear part and a part mechanically interconnecting the two parts. In the interconnection, a flexible substrate is arranged. The flexible substrate includes conductive paths. The conductive paths may be used for communication between the in the ear part and the behind the ear part, and/or for an antenna function.
