Hearing device having a shell including regions with different moduli of elasticity and methods of manufacturing the same
An exemplary hearing device configured to facilitate hearing by a user may comprise an in-the-ear (“ITE”) component comprising a shell having a contoured outer surface configured to fit at least partially within an ear canal of the user. The contoured outer surface of the shell may include a first region having a first modulus of elasticity and a second region having a second modulus of elasticity that is different than the first modulus of elasticity. The first region and the second region may be formed of a same material.
Hybrid shell for hearing aid
A method is a described for constructing a hearing aid shell that comprises a combination of hard and soft materials. In one embodiment, 3D printing is combined with conventional mold/casting methods so that a first shell portion made of a hard material and a mold for a second shell portion are 3D printed. The mold is then filled with a soft material which is allowed to set to form the second shell portion, and the first and second shell portions are adhesively attached.
In-ear housing with customized retention
A custom fit hearing device that includes an in-ear housing designed to fit at least partially in a hearing device user's ear canal. The in-ear housing includes one or more areas on its outer-surface that are designed to provide retention of the in-ear housing in the ear canal. The one of more area may be rougher than the rest of the outer-surface of the in-ear housing, may have greater a friction coefficient than the rest of the outer-surface of the in-ear housing, may be made of a different material than the rest of the outer-surface of the in-ear housing, may contain granular material and/or may include surface features such as shapes extending outward from the outer-surface or undulations/ripples in the outer-surface. The in-ear housing may be produced using virtual designs and a 3D scan of the ear canal and may be manufactured using additive manufacturing or 3D printing.

LOUDSPEAKER APPARATUS
A loudspeaker apparatus includes a circuit housing configured to accommodate a circuit component or a battery; an ear hook; a housing of an earphone core configured to accommodate the earphone core; and a housing protector at least partially covering a periphery of the circuit housing and the ear hook. A first end of the ear hook is connected to the circuit housing. The earphone core is driven by the circuit component or the battery to vibrate to generate sound. The housing of the earphone core is connected to a second end of the ear hook away from the circuit housing through a hinge component. The hinge component is capable of rotating to change a position of the housing of the earphone core relative to the ear hook.

Wax management system
A guard for a space access device is configured to output air flow through a distal end portion thereof. The guard includes q housing having a proximal end opening, a distal end opening, and a filter portion positioned between the proximal and distal end openings. The filter includes a first plate having a first opening therethrough and a second plate having a second opening therethrough. When the first plate is overlaid in contact with the second plate, this forms an aperture that extends through both the first and second plates.
Hearing instrument charger device and system, and a method of manufacturing a holder therefor
A method of manufacturing a charger insert part of a hearing instrument charger device comprising a charger casing having a receiving portion, and a first charger element, includes: obtaining a first virtual model of the rechargeable hearing instrument shaped or to be shaped to at least partly conform to a shape of a portion of an ear canal of a user, wherein the first virtual model comprises an allocated position for a second charger element; obtaining a second virtual model of the charger insert part for manufacturing the charger insert part, such that when the charger insert part is placed in the receiving portion, the first charger element will be in a relation with the second charger element; and shaping, by a manufacturing process, the charger insert part based on the second virtual model, the second virtual model being based on the first virtual model.
