Multi-channel cinema amplifier with power-sharing, messaging and multi-phase power supply

An integrated cinema amplifier comprises a power supply stage that distributes power over a plurality of channels for rendering immersive audio content in a surround sound listening environment. The amplifier automatically detects maximum and net power availability and requirements based on audio content by decoding audio metadata and dynamically adjusts gains to each channel or sets of channels based on content and operational/environmental conditions. A power supply stage provides power to drive a plurality of channels corresponding to speaker feeds to a plurality of speakers. The amplifier has a front panel having an LED array with each LED associated with a respective channel or group of channels of the multi-channel amplifier, and a control unit configured to light the LEDs according to display patterns based on operating status or error conditions of the amplifier.

Method, medium, and system generating a stereo signal

Surround audio decoding for selectively generating an audio signal from a multi-channel signal. In the surround audio decoding, a down-mixed signal, e.g., as down-mixed by an encoding terminal, is selectively up-mixed to a stereo signal or a multi-channel signal, by generating spatial information for generating the stereo signal, using spatial information for up-mixing the down-mixed signal to the multi-channel signal.

ADAPTIVE PANNER OF AUDIO OBJECTS

An audio object including audio content and object metadata is received. The object metadata indicates an object spatial position of the audio object to be rendered by audio speakers in a playback environment. Based on the object spatial position and source spatial positions of the audio speakers, initial gain values for the audio speakers are determined. The initial gain values can be used to select a set of audio speakers from among the audio speakers. Based on the object spatial position and a set of source spatial positions at which the set of audio speakers are respectively located in the playback environment, a set of non-negative optimized gain values for the set of audio speakers is determined. The audio object at the object spatial position is rendered with the set of optimized gain values for the set of audio speakers.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING A PLURALITY OF AUDIO CHANNELS

An apparatus for generating a plurality of audio channels for a speaker setup, comprises a processor repeating an energy distribution from a speaker not contained in the speaker setup to the speakers in the speaker setup to acquire a downmix information for a downmix to the speaker setup; and a renderer for generating the plurality of audio channels using the downmix information.

Latency negotiation in a heterogeneous network of synchronized speakers

A method is provided that can be performed by an audio source for negotiating latency in an audio network. The audio source receives information regarding an audio processing latency associated with each of a set of two or more audio output devices connected to the audio network. The audio source determines, based at least on the received information, a maximum delay for outputting audio samples streamed by the audio source from the audio output devices in the set. The audio source determines, based on the maximum delay, timing for outputting the audio samples from the audio output devices in the set. The audio source then communicates the determined timing to the set of audio output devices for processing the audio samples in accordance with the timing.

Configuring television speakers

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for configuring television speakers. A television may be configured to operate as a center channel speaker for an audio system. Television speakers may be calibrated according to other speakers utilized by the audio system. The handling of HDMI commands by the television may modified such that the television speakers and the audio system speakers concurrently produce sound.

Mobility based auditory resonance manipulation

Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, computer program products, and systems. Embodiments of the present invention can map an environment comprising one or more locations having respective objects located within each of the one or more locations based on received information. Embodiments of the present invention can then dynamically determine appropriate auditory levels for the environment. Embodiments of the present invention can then adjust auditory levels of each of the one or more rooms within the environment to match the determined auditory level.

An electronic apparatus and method for audio reproduction virtualization in an enclosed physical space. The electronic apparatus generates a 3D model of an enclosed physical space based on one or more images and applies a machine learning model on the 3D model, to determine a plurality of objects and one or more acoustic parameters of the plurality of objects. The electronic apparatus controls an audio capturing device to determine a first frequency response for a first sound in the enclosed physical space based on the determined one or more acoustic parameters. The electronic apparatus applies a plurality of combinations of operational modes, and 3D positions of the first audio reproduction device on the 3D model and the first frequency response to generate a second frequency response. The electronic apparatus selects first combination based on the second frequency response and displays output information associated with the selected first combination.

METHODS, APPARATUS AND SYSTEMS FOR POSITION-BASED GAIN ADJUSTMENT OF OBJECT-BASED AUDIO

The positions of a plurality of speakers at a media consumption site are determined. Audio information in an object-based format is received. Gain adjustment value for a sound content portion in the object-based format may be determined based on the position of the sound content portion and the positions of the plurality of speakers. Audio information in a ring-based channel format is received. Gain adjustment value for each ring-based channel in a set of ring-based channels may be determined based on the ring to which the ring-based channel belongs and the positions of the speakers at a media consumption site.
