CONTROLLING A TRACKER DEVICE DURING WATERBORNE TRANSPORT
20220404383 · 2022-12-22 ·

A tracker device includes a positioning system, a communication system, and a movement sensing system. The tracker device is configured to utilize the movement sensing system to reduce power consumption during waterborne transport. The tracker device intermittently operates its positioning system to determine a geographic position of the tracker device, and intermittently operates the communication system to transmit the geographic position to a remote computer. The tracker device further detects, based on at least one signal from the movement sensing system, that the tracker device is in transit on a waterborne vessel, and disables the communication system when the tracker device is detected to be in transit on the waterborne vessel.

Methods, apparatus, and systems for managing logistics information related to a container having a scale

Systems and methods are disclosed for managing logistics information related to a container using a container interface display apparatus. A scanner on the container interface display apparatus identifies an item during loading of the container. An association between the container and the item is recorded in memory of the container interface display apparatus as part of managed logistics information related to the container. A scale within the container detects a weight of the item and sends a signal to the container interface display apparatus indicating the detected weight of the item (which is also recorded in memory as part of the managed logistics information related to the container). Electronic logistics monitor information (e.g., at least a portion of the managed logistics information) is then generated on the display screen of the container interface display apparatus.

System and method for item tracking

Systems and methods for tracking items. A system for tracking an item is configured to scan the item for a computer readable code and convert the computer readable code into a digital identifier associated with the item. The system includes a controller circuit configured to receive authentication information from the mobile computing device, receive a request from the mobile computing device, comprising the digital identifier and a request for information relating to the item. When the memory has the information, the controller circuit obtains the information from the memory and generates an output comprising the digital identifier and the information for display. The output is based on a comparison of a location of the mobile computing device and an expected location of the item.

A method, computer device, and security detail (SD) communication device enables real-time tracking and security of shipments. The method includes receiving a plurality of location signals indicating a location of multiple geographically co-located shipment-related entities that are being tracked as a shipment group. The shipment group includes an assigned security detail that has a corresponding location signal. The method includes presenting the shipment group as a plurality of co-located visual representations on a shipment tracking user interface (STUI) of the computing device, where each location signal is represented among the co-located visual representations. The method includes monitoring for any unscheduled deviations in at least one of an expected co-location and an expected geo-location of received updates to the location signals within the shipment group. The method further includes, in response to detecting an unscheduled deviation, triggering responsive actions, including notifying SD personnel, based on the type of deviation.
