DEVICE FOR DETERMINING A BALL IMPACT IN THE CORNER BETWEEN A WALL AND THE GROUND
A device for determining the sequence in which a ball hits a first wall and a second wall, the device includes at least two sensors and a processing unit, the first sensor provides for a first sensor field and the second sensor provides for a second sensor field, the first sensor field is provided at least partly at a first distance from the first wall and at least partly in the playing field, and the second sensor field is provided at least partly at a second distance from the second wall and at least partly in the playing field, whereby the smallest distance between the first sensor field and the second sensor field is not bigger than 150% of the diameter of the ball.
Agility ladder projection systems, devices, and methods
Systems, devices, and methods for projecting an agility ladder onto a ground surface. A device may include a light source and an optical element configured to include an image of the agility ladder having a plurality of adjacent enclosed zones. The optical element may be positioned to allow the light source to project light through the optical element. The device may include at least one optical lens positioned such that the optical element is between the light source and the at least one optical lens. The at least one optical lens may be configured to magnify and project the image onto the ground surface. The device may include a plurality of sensors configured to detect an appendage partially or completely stepped within each of the plurality of adjacent enclosed zones. The device may include a processor coupled to the sensors and programmed to determine one or more training metrics.
Method and system utilizing a golf shot API proxy
A method and system for providing shot tracking data to a client device is disclosed herein. The system includes multiple golf ball tracking sensors positioned at multiple golf driving ranges, multiple shot application programming interfaces (API), and a shot API proxy. Each of the shot APIs is configured to receive shot data from each of the golf ball tracking sensors at a corresponding golf driving range venue such as a TOPGOLF? entertainment venue.
Exercise Apparatus for Ball Game
An exercise apparatus has several selectably activatable target objects arranged to register hits by a movable playing object. The target objects are arranged on a wall and are connected to a control unit. The control unit is arranged to activate the selected target object and an indicator which is arranged to identify the activated target object and is connected to and arranged at the target object, for a period determined by the control unit. The indicator is arranged above the target object. A method of training the playing skills of a team player is provided by using the exercise apparatus.
Tracking system
A system simultaneously tracks multiple objects. All or a subset of the objects includes a wireless receiver and a transmitter for providing an output. The system includes one or more wireless transmitters that send commands to the wireless receivers of the multiple objects instructing different subsets of the multiple objects to output (via their respective transmitter) at different times. The system also includes object sensors that receive output from the transmitters of the multiple objects and a computer system in communication with the object sensors. The computer system calculates locations of the multiple objects based on the sensed output from the multiple objects.
Multiple sensor tracking system and method
A system and method for tracking the flight of golf balls at driving range. The system includes a plurality of hitting stations, a plurality of sensors, a computer, and a range surface. Each hitting station in the plurality of hitting stations includes a golf ball, a golf club, a monitor, and a sensor. At least one other sensor in the plurality of sensors is placed outside a hitting station. The flight path of the golf balls being calculated by the computer using parameters by the plurality of sensors. The method includes steps for determining whether a first sensor detected a first parameter and a second parameter, whether a second sensor detected a first and a second parameter, whether a third sensor detected a third parameter, and depicting the flight path of the golf balls using the first parameter, the second parameter, and the third parameter.
SENSOR BACKSTOP SYSTEM
A training device for baseball and other sports includes layers for detecting different zones of contact. The device can detect position of impact and the velocity of impact of an object such as a baseball, lacrosse ball or hockey puck by a change in voltage due to the compression or pressuring of an interlayer positioned between two conductors. The device is used for individual training as well as for competition over a network.
ANIMATED SPORTS TRAINING AND SIMULATOR GAME SYSTEM
A simulator system includes a projector, a target assembly and a data processing system. The target assembly includes a projection surface and a sensor array defines a sensing plane configured to sense a position of a projectile in the sensing plane relative to the projection surface.
APPARATUS FOR TESTING SKIS OR SNOWBOARDS
The invention relates to a measuring arrangement (1) for testing skis and snowboards (2) or sports equipment with a planar contact surface, the arrangement comprising a sensor device, onto which at least one ski or snowboard (2) or piece of sports equipment can be laid. The sensor device has a sensor surface (3) which is predominantly sub-divided in a longitudinal and transverse direction into a plurality of sensor-surface sections (4), each of said sensor-surface sections (4) having at least one force sensor which outputs the force acting on the sensor-surface section (4) as an electrical signal that is evaluated by a computer unit (5).
Action sound capture using subsurface microphones
Methods and systems for generating an audio mix indicative of action sound captured at an event on a surface (e.g., a sporting event on a field) using a microphone array, where the array includes subsurface microphones (e.g., a large number of subsurface microphones) positioned under the surface, and optionally also other microphones. In typical embodiments, at least one point of interest (PI) on the surface is selected in an automated manner, PI data indicative of a currently selected PI on the surface is generated (e.g., a sequence of PIs on the surface is selected, the PI data is indicative of the sequence of PIs, and a most recently selected PI in the sequence is the currently selected PI), and the audio mix is generated in response to the PI data. Aspects include methods performed by any embodiment of the system, and a system or device configured (e.g., programmed) to perform any embodiment of the method.
