Method for indicating availability of same service on other radio access system

Methods are provided which indicate availability of the same service on a different access network. In these methods, the network controller generates an identifier for each of one or more services provided by a wireless local access network (WLAN). The identifier is associated with a particular service which is also provided by a private radio network. The network controller provides to an access point the identifier to be broadcast to one or more user devices of the WLAN to connect to the particular service via the private radio network. A mobility management entity receives a request from a user device to connect to the private network, where the request includes an identifier associated with a particular service provided to the user device in the WLAN and based on the identifier, the mobility management entity enables the particular service to be provided to the user device via the private radio network.

A radio station (2) transmits configuration information (501) to a radio terminal (1). The configuration information (501) indicates, on a cell-by-cell basis, at least one specific cell on which the radio terminal (1) is allowed to perform at least one of data transmission and data reception on a radio bearer used for uplink transmission or downlink transmission or both via a common Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer (402). As a result, in a radio architecture that provides tight interworking of two different Radio Access Technologies (RATs), it is for example possible to allow an eNB to indicate, to a radio terminal (UE), a specific cell on which the UE should perform uplink transmission.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a technique for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE). The UE starts a procedure for a mobile terminated (MT) or mobile originated (MO) call in a first radio access technology (RAT) network. The UE receives a first command for the UE to move to a second RAT network to continue the call, and in response establishes a connection with the second RAT network to continue the call. The UE starts a timer based on an end of the call and take one or more actions dependent at least in part on the timer to prioritize return to the first RAT network in a standalone (SA) mode.

HANDOVER PROCEDURES INVOLVING SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS

A system, method and apparatus for wireless communications is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a first base station, one or more first messages that include measurement configuration parameters and sidelink parameters associated with a first cell. The UE establishes a sidelink with a second UE based on the sidelink parameters and transmits, to the first base station, a measurement report based on the measurement configuration parameters. Responsive to the measurement report, the UE receives a second message comprising second configuration parameters of a second cell of a second base station. The second configuration parameters do not comprise sidelink parameters. The UE then switches from the first cell of the first base station to the second cell of the second base station. The sidelink of the first cell is handed over to an uplink of the second cell.
