METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SETTING TIMER VALUE IN NETWORK

A method for setting a value of an inactivity timer for transitioning between states of a data session in a network comprising a first entity and a second entity providing network analytics is provided. The method includes obtaining, by the second entity, input data comprising communication description information for at least one user equipment (UE), and providing, by the second entity to the first entity, output analytics generated based on the input data, the output analytics comprising UE communications analytics for each data session where the output analytics are used to determining whether to update a value of an inactivity timer for a data session.

TERMINAL AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

A terminal includes: a control unit configured to connect to another terminal in an RRC (Radio Resource Control) layer; and a transmitting unit configured to transmit data to the another terminal. In a case where the another terminal or the terminal itself performs at least one of transmission, reception, and sensing during a specific timing, the control unit controls an operation related to the connection in the RRC layer, based on the specific timing.

An object is to provide alternative communication means that does not require establishment of a connection. A communication control device according to the present technology includes: a first communication unit that performs communication by a device designation method that performs signal communication while designating a communication target device; a second communication unit that performs communication by a broadcasting method that performs signal communication without designating the communication target device; and a switching control unit that, when the first communication unit is performing communication with the communication target device, switches a communication system from the device designation method by the first communication unit to the broadcasting method by the second communication unit in accordance with a communication condition of the first communication unit such that the communication with the communication target device is continuously performed by the second communication unit.

Methods, systems, and devices are described for communicating data from multiple data terminals to an aggregator terminal over a communication link having changing link conditions. In some embodiments, source data is received at multiple data terminals, each in communication with an aggregator terminal over a communication link. For example, during a live newscast, one mobile camera may receive live video of an event from a first position while another mobile camera receives live video of the event from a second position. For various reasons (e.g., as the cameras move) each communication link may experience independently changing link conditions. Each data terminal encodes the source data (or store source data for later encoding) as a function of its respective link conditions and transmits encoded source data over its respective communication link to the aggregator terminal.

Dynamic management of telecommunication services at user equipment

Systems and methods for dynamically managing the states (e.g., enabling/disabling) of telecommunication services/features are disclosed. To do so, the system associates parameters (e.g., timers) with the impacted services/features. For example, when a user experiences issues with voice calls, he/she calls the telecommunications service provider (carrier) to help resolve the issue. A customer care representative may ask the user to temporality turn off the VoNR service to help alleviate the issue. When the user turns off (or toggles off) the VoNR service on his/her mobile device, the system can start a configurable timer (parameter) for the VoNR service. In this manner, the system can replace the conventional toggle on/off feature with a time-based feature. The system monitors the timer's value and when the timers value reaches a target value (e.g., 24 hours, 1 week, etc.), the system alerts the user that the VoNR service will be turned on (or toggled on).

Disclosed is a bandwidth part (BWP) switching method, a terminal, and a storage medium. The method includes: receiving target downlink control information (DCI) from a network device; wherein the target DCI comprises a first BWP, and the target DCI is configured to trigger the terminal to perform a BWP switching; de-enabling a timer-based BWP switching function according to the target DCI; wherein the timer-based BWP switching function indicates triggering the terminal to perform the BWP switching in response to no data transmission existing between the terminal and the network device within a timer duration of a timer; and switching a current BWP to the first BWP.
