Resuming radio connections in a communication network
To resume a connection with a base station, a user equipment (UE) communicates messages with the base station in accordance with a format that corresponds to a first radio access technology (RAT), using a radio connection over a radio interface that conforms to a second RAT (702). The UE suspends the radio connection (704) and, subsequently to the suspending, transmits to the base station an indication that the radio connection has been resumed, in accordance with the format that corresponds to the first RAT (708).

PROVIDING SESSION CONTINUITY FOR PARALLEL SESSIONS INVOLVING A MULTIPLE UNIVERSAL SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE USER EQUIPMENT
Presented herein are techniques to provide data session continuity for parallel data sessions involving a multiple Universal Subscriber Identity Module (MUSIM) user equipment (UE). In one example, a method may include obtaining an indication that session continuity for a first session associated with a first data network and a first USIM of a UE is allowed with respect to a second USIM in which the UE communicates first traffic for the first session via the first USIM. The method may further include determining that second traffic for a second session is to be communicated via the second USIM of the UE and, based on the indication that session continuity for the first session is allowed with respect to the second USIM, providing service information to the UE for the first session to enable the UE to communicate both the first traffic and the second traffic via the second USIM.

COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
A communication method and a communication apparatus are provided, which relate to the field of communication technologies. The communication apparatus includes a communication protocol module and a QUIC module. The communication protocol module is configured to send a first request to establish a first PDU session for a first data network, receive a first response indicating that the first PDU session is successfully established, and after receiving the first response, send, to the QUIC module, a first notification including a first IP address. The QUIC module is configured to, after receiving the first notification, send, to an application server of the first data network, a second request to establish a first QUIC connection, and receive a second response that indicates that the first QUIC connection is successfully established. An IP address on a terminal device side of the first QUIC connection is the first IP address.

Radio capability change
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for modifying a radio capability. One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that communicates with a RAN node. The processor registers with a first communication system via the RAN node. The processor detects a trigger to perform radio capability change for at least one radio access technology (“RAT”) and transitions the apparatus to an idle state. The processor further sends a request to the first communication system to update one or more UE radio capabilities while in the idle state.

Capability indication method, terminal, and network-side network element
This disclosure provides a capability indication method, a terminal, and a network-side network element. The capability indication method includes: obtaining first information, where the first information includes at least one of the following: first indication information of a terminal capability, and terminal capability information mapped to the first indication information; and sending second indication information of the terminal capability based on the first information.
